One of the worst financial decisions I ever made. I agreed to a deal with Durham Autopark on behalf of MotoNovo finance in August 2016. The car lasted me less than 3 months total before the engine suffered irreparable damage due to longstanding mechanical faults present at the point of purchase (-as well as a wealth of more minor faults that should have also been caught by the dealership – some which would flag as a MOT failure, I might add!). Upon reporting this to Durham Autopark I encountered the least helpful service I have potentially ever received from any sale I have been part of. No customer service phone number to speak to anyone and a BARELY responsive customer services email address that replies with little-to-no advice or concern shown at all. That became a dead end very rapidly. I then went to citizens advice who informed that MotoNovo are the financiers and therefore my agreement/complaint was actually with them. That’ll explain the less than helpful customer service from Durham Autopark, then. A less stubborn person would have frustratingly given up here and I wonder how many first time buyers or less mentally strong persons have suffered a similar fate - previously, with complaints unheard by MotoNovo due to negligent dealerships not showing any care or concern to help direct. In fact, due to the sheer worry and stress of it all, I actually had to forget about it over the Xmas period and soldier on with my Xmas Winter shopping on foot. It really did damage my mental state at the time. Gifts that my family had bought me that year, such as dash cams and car accessories never got given so a snot to rub insult to injury. Eventually, I managed to get the ball rolling on my complaint with MotoNovo who accepted my statements and began contacting the dealership themselves. Moving on, I was then forced to pay for a diagnostic inspection and was loosely promised a reimbursement at some stage – IF the liability was found to not be in my favour. So further cost. During all of this and even now, I have been paying for road tax and car insurance for a car that does not move. Contractually this was necessary, despite the circumstances. I am also paying my monthly agreement on the car itself. COST COST COST and further COST. I was forced to await until pay day to complete this request and in the meantime, MotoNovo closed my complaint. I fought this and they reluctantly re-opened it. After a series of calls and email from myself pushing the complaint forward and reminding MotoNovo of the current situation - I finally managed to get MotoNovo to make the dealership I originally bought it from, collect the car in order to take it back to the dealership for a thorough inspection. They turned up ALSO expecting a running car and then had to improvise with the pickup vehicle's winch system which was clearly harder work that they hadn’t prepared for. They verbalised that to me, too – as well as asking what was wrong with it. A 4 - 5 month period then passes with no contact from MotoNovo regarding my complaint. Once again, it lies with me to push the complaint forward. I sent an email advising that I believed all the extra costs incurred and time delaying tactics employed by Durham Autopark and MotoNovo were deliberate and an attempt to exasperate my efforts and finances. Eventually I received a response - via email. Motonovo had agreed to turn over the complaint and reimburse me for only 5 months of my 12 month contract, based on mileage done. I was just happy to be released from paying for a non-road worthy car, frankly. It took until late-November 2017 for me to see any reimbursement. Whenever I called or emailed I get what I call in my work office a “nothing answer” back (no commitment to a set time period). As they dragged their heels on the refund, I was afraid that I'd be forced to walk to work and back though ANOTHER Winter (approaching 13 months without transport, despite STILL paying for road tax, the car and insurance). All in all – DO NOT EVER TRUST either Durham Autopark or Motonovo finance.

Purchased a lovely little car from here last week, the customer service was excellent and felt no pressure from the staff. Russell was very helpful and gave me all the information on the vehicle I purchased. They have a good range of cars with prices that are reasonable for everybody. Would highly recommend to anybody

I first came across this company when I was looking to purchase a new car, not being to sure as to what I wanted the staff were quick to be there to help me find a car that met my requirements, they also gave me the best part exchange price of anywhere I had been in the previous week by a country mile.

After submitting a part exchange enquiry on 8 Dec, via the website form, I received an email asking for further information. I telephoned the showroom and was asked to send in some photographs of the car to enable them to arrive at an approximate valuation. This I did the next day (10 Dec). After 5 days I had heard nothing so emailed to ask if they had received my email with pictures. No reply. I then phoned the showroom and spoke to a girl who confirmed that they had received both emails and had been a bit busy but would get back to me. That was over a week ago. 21 Dec and still waiting. You decide.

After my initial review I was contacted pretty smartly by Buyfromus and it was explained that the person I had intially dealt with had left the company abruptly and not passed on my details. Since then I have received rather better service and have indeed bought a car from them, and sold mine at the agreed part exchange price without any nit-picking, which was nice. The new car is in reasonable condition although it did have a cracked windscreen which was not mentioned in the decription - however this is in the process of being replaced free of charge and I was able to negotiate an additional discount, so overall they have redeemed themselves somewhat.

Bought a car for my sons Xmas a couple of months ago and the garage kindly let me store the car there until last week - collected the car Friday night and although a head light was out a young lad got send off to get a bulb and sorted it immediately ! Was travelling back to York and was worried in a strange car that it could break down! Thank you Russell, he kindly gave me his mobile number to call if I needed him bearing in mind this was Friday night. Due to the car sitting for so long it didn’t sound great so rang Russell and late Friday evening he answered and told me to take the car back to York and he would authorise anything that needed done and pay directly - my local garage did a few bits and pieces with oil/filters etc and true to his word paying the garage directly and asked them to do it quickly so my son would have a fab car on Xmas day / I’ve had a fab car buying experience from start to finish - Demi was also a little Star thanks guys and Merry Christmas

Buy from us autopark are a total Disgrace. They have a 2011 Ford Mondeo for sale that we rejected a month ago as needing £3000 spending on it and they have simply put it back up for sale. They sold us the car with 3 buckled wheels, dangerous tyres including one on inside out, no parking sensors as advertised and still advertised and a failing dual mass flywheel along with other faults including cracking in the roof area. The car is dangerous buy from us Autopark dont care. They refused to repair the car and it was our finance company that finally agreed that we were in the right and could reject the car. I warn everyone to never trust this garage with their hard earned savings. The best car they have for sale is our old Chevrolet Lacetti, they gave us £175 trade in but you can buy it for the bargain price of £995!!!. By the way Russell is a nasty little man with no customer skills when things go wrong, he talks down to his customers and doesnt give a damn about the AA as he refused to supply the PDI to them. Demi makes mistakes and then wont own up to her mistakes, if any of the staff read this you know the full story and shame on you for not acting with professionalism. Luckily for us we found a replacement car as Joan West Car Sales in Brighouse and our faith in the used car market has been restored, genuine infact amazing customer service.

No customer service at all. Reported issue with boot handle over 2 weeks ago and my emails have simply been ignored. Worst customer service I've ever seen in my life. DO NOT BUY FROM BUY FROM US AUTOPARK.

Hi , I have previously bought and sold a couple of cars from autopark at meadowfield over the last few years and to be honest everything was fine with the customer service etc . Recently I enquired about finance for a little van , Demi lee helped me all the way and got me the finance to purchase the vehicle.
