I had an interesting experience .I… I had an interesting experience .I called FOW on Monday to reserve a car I ve seen on internet . After I called them 3 times that day , someone called back to collect 100£ To reserve the car . I told them I would like to book an appointment to take a drive test , they said I can t do that because of the pandemic. But I can come and see the car . I told them I can t drive one hour and half to see the car for 10 minutes and come back home again. I will take it like that and if It s got any problems I will return the car in 14 days . The person from sales told me that the car was brought back after 3 days by someone who wasn t happy about the fact that the car don t have sat nav . I started to get suspicious , but I said maybe he didn t realize the car wasn t equiped with sat nav . The person from sales , told me will send me an invoice by email for the 100£ . I waited , nothing happend .. after 2 days My finance company told me that the next day the money will be payed in the fow s account and I can call them to arrange the collection of the car . I called Fow and told them that they will have the money next morning in their account , if I can come and collect the car . The person from customer service told me that I can collect the car after 17-18 days , because the car needs to have safety checks and to pe prepped for taking over . The person from customer service also told me that someone from sales supposed to inform me about the fact that the car is gonna be ready in 2-3 weeks after I will pay for it . I got nervous and told her that nobody inform me about this , and the next day fow will have the money for the car , and I can t collect the car . After 30 min I was called by someone from sales dep and explained me that these are their procedures , the cars needs to be prepped before taking over by the buyer . I told the person from sales that nobody informed me about this issue , because if they would have told me before I would just go to a different place and buy a car . I asked the person from sales to cancel the payment from my finance company , and to send the money back . Not even at this point I didn t receive an e mail with the invoice for the 100£ reservation fee . I called the finance company and they managed to cancel the payment so everything ended ok . I m writing this review , so the people who wants to buy a car from Fow to know what to expect from that company. I also called 5 different friends and finace company to ask them if they ever had a situation like this when you pay for a car , but you collect the car after 2-3 weeks because it needs to be prepped , and they all said that they never heard about a practice like that ...
