Absolutely shambles of a garage spent 10 grand on a mercedes, took the warranty out, the car radio dosent work, Sat nav module missing, and the car randomly cuts out all the leccy goes off, there not arsed, they say ring the warranty company up, but you have to pay for your own diagnostic at a garage, after sales is a shambles, as soon as I bought the car they then begged me to leave reviews well here we go!! Someone best get ringing me
Bought a corsa from these people a 12 reg with low mileage had it three months or just over , head gasket went they did not want to help me even though the promised. Me a warranty on the car I had to give the car back to the finance firm .i still have three years to at even though I don’t have the car anymore .avoid at all costs
Re-branded as Spirit Motor Company (Same Cowboys) I bought a Vauxhall Insignia 11 plate from these cowboys in March '19 and when taking it for a test drive I had full lock on to get it off the forecourt, horrible grinding noise which my passenger also noticed, straight away I assumed the drive shaft or CV boot, when I had finished the test drive I mentioned this to Wayne and he said someone would take a look at it, if there were any issues it would be resolved. Picked the car up and they advised the drive shaft was checked and there were no issues, this has just gotten progressively worse and on top of that I have had it in my usual and highly trusted ATS garage today who advised the power steering is knackered and there's metal shavings in the power steering fluid tank. It makes a horrible high pitched grinding noise when the wheel is turned. Got the car home and inspected, power steering fluid leak from a pipe at the bottom of the engine and drive shaft grease everywhere under the car. This is not the condition they said the car was in when I picked it up, there was also a nail in the drivers side front tyre which I imagine they patched up and put on the rear as there's a slow puncture. The passenger headlamp also has a crack in it resulting in condensation, that's an MOT failure which I also pointed out and they said they had buffed the headlamp. Buffed a crack out? Yeah right. I rang and spoke with Wayne to advise on the problem and they didn't want to know, because it's past the 3 month mark then to take it up with the Warranty company? Bare in mind that within that 3 month only the Engine Main Block and Gearbox are covered so i'd have been knackered anyway. Then followed up with "Thanks for letting us know about the issue, if there's anything else please give us a call" - So you can fob me off again? They lied to me and made me believe there weren't any issues which have got progressively worse and now i'll be left out of pocket because of it. I have a recording of my entire conversation with Wayne, Gary and the owner prior to leaving with the car as I had read all the bad reviews before hand. I'll be using this as evidence in building a case against them, they had the gift of the gab and sold me a car not fit for purpose, even after turning up with my 10 year old daughter. No care or consideration for their customers, cars bought and left on the forecourt for people to sink money in to without any prior checks to make sure they're actually fucking road worthy. They have also written down that a PDI had taken place "Pre-Delivery inspection" and I should have received this detailed inspection, which I didn't, another fucking lie. They also have not deducted my deposit from the price of the car and have taken a higher amount from the finance company that what was displayed on their advert on Auto Trader. Guess who pays the extra? Me.
Purchased a first car for my Son. Condition of the front brake discs was bad (I’m a full city & guilds motor vehicle technician) I said we’d purchase if the discs and pads were replaced. This was agreed and we bought the car. Some 12 Weeks later, my Son having just come off the motorway, further down the Road when applying the brakes they failed and the front pads literally fell out onto the road, both sides simultaneously. As it was very late I arranged a mechanic to attend who took pictures and informed me of the issue. They had fitted the wrong non ventilated brake discs. The mechanic recovered the car next day and fitted the correct parts. We still have the parts they fitted, and as my son is now afraid to drive I contacted the ever pleasant, plausible salesman only to be offered a ‘gesture of goodwill £100’ (the cost to us was nearly £400). Having emailed twice over the last 2 weeks with no response we are about to take advice....lucky my Son is still alive. Take heed
My husband purchased a car from Jeff Johnson 6 weeks ago, within 3 weeks problems arises. He works away with the military so had to wait to get it fixed a week or two... when it was ‘repaired’ we went on holiday for a week. Got back and it broke down on a main road with my six year old son inside. Took to two garages who have said the problem wasn’t fixed and they have found numerous other problems including an oil leak. My husband called and advised he needs a reliable car and they have been dishonest saying the work had been completed. They basically laughed him off the phone and put the phone down saying they don’t care if he needs it before he goes back down south with the military. By law we are entitled to a refund we reported the problems within the month. We have been citizens advice and the bank to resolve this, and we are contacting trading standards. We have been in touch with other buyers who have been in the same position.

DON’T EVER BUY A CAR FROM THEM! Now Spirit Motor but previously known as Jeff Johnson Cars. They’ve changed the name in April! There’s definitely a reason for that and it’s probably their shocking services. Went to buy a car and put a deposit down but it had an oil leak and they said they’d fix it before purchase. I had to go to the dealer twice, finally they said it was fixed so I completed purchase. A week later I found out the oil leak was still there. They messed us around. We had to go there about 4 times for the car to be fixed and they kept saying it was fixed or they ordered new parts. All bullshit! When we rejected the car within the 30 days allowed by law, the owner, Mohammed has refused to give us the money and been abusive over the phone. He kept telling us to take the car back for repair after we gave him multiple chooses. He would then start blaming us for never leaving the car there for enough time for him to fix even though we took a day off work just for it to be fixed. I have all calls recorded and would NEVER recommend them ever! If you go on google and type Jeff Johnson there’s nothing but bad reviews about them. The owner is the same and he can’t deny as it is on the Gov. website company registry. He’s never gave us the money back so we had to end up chasing it back with the credit card. He kept saying the oil leak was nothing major. Imagine, for a car company owner to say an oil leak is nothing major he definitely doesn’t care about his customers once he gets the money. HE DOES NOT FOLLOW THE LAW and it’s well known by the Trading Standards with bad reputation.
Put a deposit on a car and now found the car has been "clocked", is soaking wet inside, runs terribly, got lights all over dashboard, asked for my deposit back as it is out of my pension and was threatened by the "manager", now contacting Trading Standards and taking legal advice. Never met such rude ignorant people PLEASE stay away from Jeff Johnson Cars. Don't let your dream turn into the nightmare I am having. I will happily join forces to build a case!

I bought a car for my daughter in January 2019 within a week the water pump had failed. I had a free vehicle check at Vauxhall’s and they gave me a list of issues. The car car was sold with a service history which when I picked the car up from them, they still hadn’t received it from the previous owner It is now mid March and still no sign of it regardless of numerous phone calls Feel I will need to pay out more money to take action against Jeff Johnson Cars.

bought a car from Jeff Johnson a BMW 1 series M sport. Before I bought the vehicle I was assured that the car would have 115 point pre delivery inspection (PDI).On the day I collected the vehicle I noticed a fault with the central locking (the boot would unlock whilst driving), the exhaust start to rattle and the most disturbing thing was that the car would shake when breaking at high speed. I rang up JJ, I was initially told that I might be able to get the car fixed at a local garage because it had only been fours days since I had collected the car. I was then told that I had to bring the car in which I agreed to do so. Just over a week of having the car back in my possession, whilst checking the water and oil levels I noticed the air inlet pipes ripped. I rang up to express my disappointment, that these things were picked up on the PDI I was met with a facetious and rude manner by the salesman and told that it was an old car and that this had happened whilst in my possession (bearing in mind that I had only had the car for 10 days). I was then told to bring the car to the garage and it would be repaired immediately I clarified that this would be the case and was assured that they would be able to do this on the day. On arriving at the garage I was met by one of the salesman and the mechanic, I was informed that this was something that they would’ve definitely picked up on the PDI and that this had happened whilst in my possession – basically I was being called a liar! I was then told that they would have to order the part and that I would need to come in on another date for the repairs to be undertaken. I expressed my disappointment and dissatisfaction, I was told by the mechanic that the manager at his discretion may allow the works to be carried out at a local garage seen as this was the second time I had to bring the car back to the back to them. The manager then came to me in the office and said that I would have to bring the car back to them for it to be repaired. I explained the inconvenience this will cause me i.e. I would have to take time off work and bring the car to them (bearing in mind this garage is 45 miles away from where I live). The manager insisted that he wasn’t interested and that I would have to bring the car back to them for it to be repaired. I tried to negotiate with the manager, at this point he started to raise his voice at me and stated that he was no longer prepared to discuss this with me. In in all my years I have never come across anyone as unprofessional as the people at Jeff Johnson‘s car sales. Having read some of the other reviews it would seem that I am not alone in having such experiences. It would seem that not only are the cars of a poor quality, the staff are well known for their rude and obnoxious behaviour. I strongly advise anyone buying a car to steer clear of Jeff Johnson‘s cars. Good luck to the gentleman who is building a case against them. Qasim Saghir

Absolutely shocking experience at Jeff Johnson Cars...I thought I was getting a good deal with a good car..they bent over backwards to get the sale and finance sorted but this was the start of a down hill experience...I've had my car just over 6 months and in that time I've had to have approximately £1300 of work carried out to keep my car on the road ....bearing in mind the car was supposed to 100% checked before purchase new brakes after less than 3k miles new abs sensor new temp sensor new horn new gearbox new abs pressure hose ...they sold me a warranty which isn't worth the paper it's written on..all I got when I complained about the cost of the repairs from the owner was well you use your brakes and and I sold you a used car ...after less than 3k miles and that kind of attitude I won't be going back apparently he's been in the car game for 30plus years...Well aI can say is he should have learned by now how to treat customers with respect and curticity before taking their money and washing his hands
