I bought a £36,000,a range rover sport autobiography this was my dream car however sadly turned out to be my worst nightmare. Before picking up the car and making arrangements for childcare and a day off work for me and my partner we were told last minute the car had a fault they 'just' found with the exhaust system. We were disappointed and explained about our upset as it was 12 hours prior to setting off to collect the vehicle. The seller mike told us he had the part and it was fixed and ready to collect as planned. At this time not knowing Mike has had several companies he's traded under on his premises we trusted him to be genuine. We made the journey and after 4 short weeks the car began to get faults ranging from the EGR valve, gear select stick failing which left us stranded on the motorway with 3 kids.. We called Mike and the warrenty was for £1000 which wasn't going to cover the cost of the EGR valve that had gone. We sent the car to Mike to repair this took two weeks which meant I lost two weeks of earnings as I rely on the vehicle to work and it has my business insurance on. Just 36 hours after collecting the car the engine management light came on again, at this point and on the 3rd fault we had the car recovered to Mike to repair but shortly after seeking legal advice we were told to reject the vehicle as it appeared to be a problem car in a short space of time and spending most of its time back with the seller rather then us enjoying it. Mike became very rude and abrupt when he knew we exercised our rights to reject the vehicle. He spoke about his 25 years being in business but failed to mention he had done this by trading under multiple company names every few years just dissolving the proclaimed successful company he ran. The vehicle I pay for is still sat in his court yard with a SOLD sign in and I'm still out of work as I have no vehicle to do my job and due to the stress I'm now on the sick. It's been a awful time and he has no empathy to how this has impacted our finanacial and emotional needs. Stay clear as he isn't a reputable dealer as proclaimed. The garage who do the work also smoke inside the vehicles and have no respect for it our son who is 24 months old has chronic lung disease and I'm asthmatic when we picked it up the 2nd time it stunk of cigarette smoke and they had used all the fuel leaving enough to reach a petrol station. So for us this is still on going still paying for a car he is in possession off and still highly disappointed and upset about the whole situation and inconvenience its caused over the last 2 months. Please just do your research first.
