I purchase a car with Northumbria cars, and payments were settled on 11th/02/2025 ( finance & my deposit). Before the completion of the transaction, the sales person reassured that the car will be prepared and delivered as soon as possible. I called the following day to find out when the car will be delivered, the tone had changed and I was told by the sales person that he doesn't know but he will find out and let me know. I didn't hear from anyone. I called again the next day, the sales person dismissively told me to wait or call later. Well, I called again on Saturday, I was told to wait till Monday and he will chase it up with the preparation centre. He told me it can take up to 7 days (which passed yesterday the 18th/2/25). I wondered how the car checks can last that long - as far as I know, most car checks (MOT + service) last maximum 2 days unless there are serious mechanical issues! I called on Monday (17/02/25) morning, I was told to call back after 12:00 - you can't even call me to update on the car status, this is literally begging for my car after receiving all your payments. This is really shocking! I have bought cars from different companies but I have never experienced this. As told, I called again after 12:00 on Monday and I was reassured the car will be delivered on Wednesday (19/02/25). I even contacted my insurance company to start on the day. On wednesday, I called in the morning, as usual I was dismissively told to call back after 12:00. When I called, I was told the car is stack on the garage ramp (this is taking me as a fool), they can't get the car down - really 😑, that they are waiting for the compressor specialist to fix it. In this modern world, you tell someone the car in stack on the ramp for days. When I called again later, I was told it will be delivered Saturday afternoon but not guaranteed (the car is still hanging, they can't take it down!). You earlier told the finance company that it will be delivered in 5 days. I tried to test the waters by offering to come and pick it up myself, the response could tell the story! In all these callings begging for my car to be delivered, in every conversations I have explained how this delay had inconvenienced my work, using taxi to work since Monday but this didn't seem to bother anyone. The customer service arrogancy after the purchase is shocking and I don't see us continuing this car purchase. What I believe there's something wrong with the car and are making up lies everyday, disrrupting my work and being spoken to anyhow. I can't risk, the clues are evident on how difficult to work with you going forward and that your car definitely has underlying issues. I gave them a benefit of doubt, as one them reassured me the car will be delivered on Thursday this week. To make matters worse, yesterday of their staff called pretending to be from the garage where the car is being prepared- I spoke to him a few days (he thought I couldn't recognise him and is the same person who told me the car will be delivered on Saturday afternoon - what a scam). He said the car will be delivered on Monday - just playing fraudulent games. I canceled their car purchase and said they refusing to pay back my deposit. Run away from this company, they are terrible and fraudulent. Don't trust or deal with them please.
