Be very careful

I purchased a BMW i8 from Gateway last year. Shortly after receiving the car, I identified several faults, which an independent inspection confirmed would cost over £12,000 to repair. Although I was told the vehicle came with a warranty, I later discovered this was not in place. The process of returning the vehicle was extremely difficult, and instead of resolving the issues, Gateway refused to fix it and instead sold it to another party without refunding me or the finance company. The police became involved and later recovered the vehicle. When the car was returned, it came back with further damage, the original faults still present, and personal belongings missing. At present, I am left with a vehicle that is costing me substantially more than expected, requires extensive repairs and cannot be used legally as it is out of MOT. Despite repeated attempts to resolve the matter, Gateway has refused to provide a refund or meaningful assistance. Based on my experience, I would strongly caution others to be very careful when considering a purchase from this company.
