Helen I

Car is faulty after 2 months

Bought a car from Oakwood in September 2025, wasn't offered a test drive and wouldn't hand me the keys over untill I wrote a review. Drove over 2.5 hours back home and only drove the car a handful of times until 1st of December the car completely cut out on me. I had it towed to a local garage and contacted Oakwood as I was still within the 3 months warranty. I was told they would pay the 1 hour diagnosis charge but I had to pay it first and they would reimburse me. I was ok with this but when I contacted Oakwood again on the 29th of December to up date them they said they didn't no the car was in the garage untill I called them on 29th (emails of proof) we are now going back and forth via email with regards to Repairs to the vehicle however I'm now being told even though a quote will be sent to them they might not accept it... So in other words I'm stuck with a undriverble car and lot over £16000 and more. Please please please stay away from them.... I no they are not going to pay for the repairs so I'm going to take this further, I have the unperfessional emails and I have the options they gave on a email to the point of me recovering the car back up to them (2 and half hours away) me to pay for recovery - not cheap and let them look at it.... They should of looked at it before selling it on and maybe get it at least cleaned before selling because they did say it had been valeted but I emptied the car of a jacket and crisp bag and took it in to Lee what was dealing with me and I got a laugh back not even a sorry. Please don't use a UN professional, clueless, and faulty car sales company like Oakwood. Time to take this further
