Disappointing Experience – Vehicle Not a

Upon inspecting the vehicle in person, I identified a number of visible condition issues that had not been disclosed prior to my journey and which I did not believe were consistent with either the video walk-around or the inspection documentation provided. I was particularly disappointed by the communication and response when these concerns were raised. Rather than discussing the issues identified and whether a resolution could be reached, the conversation quickly moved towards refunding my deposit. To be fair, my deposit was refunded immediately and the dealership's final position was that the vehicle's condition was commensurate with its age and mileage. I disagreed, not because I expected a perfect vehicle, but because I did not feel the condition was accurately reflected in the information provided prior to my journey. I was also disappointed that the concerns I raised appeared inconsistent with the dealership's own Approved Used inspection process, which included checks for body damage, signs of repairs, paintwork blemishes and corrosion, panel profile and wheel condition. As these items had been inspected and signed off prior to handover, I had reasonably expected the vehicle condition and information provided before travelling to accurately reflect the vehicle presented on arrival. Based on my experience, I would strongly recommend that prospective buyers carry out a thorough inspection of any vehicle before completing a purchase, regardless of any prior video walk-around or inspection report.
