Terrible service stay away
My Experience with Arnold Clark started begining of January after having a bad experience with another dealership I found a nice Volkswagen CC on the Arnold Clark website and called the dealership (East Kilbride Arnold Clark Scotland) I am from Hull but my sales advisor Stuart Lennox said this won’t be an issue and the car will be sent to Doncaster for me to click and collect he was really helpful got me to Doncaster and had my part ex looked over and offered me exactly what I wanted for the car, we did the deal and I was happy with the service at this point infact it was excellent but as soon as I commited to the car the customer service completley dissapeared he said he would let me know when the car was prepped and ready for transport and it should be done within a few days 3-4 days passed and I called he said it was prepped however the mot had £500 in advisories he said he would look into this for me and let me know and never did until I emailed 3 days later asking for answers and he says these where done but the mot would remain with the advisories on (abit dodgey) he told me the car had been sent for transport after a further 2 days of chasing and 9 days of chasing it up and been ignored later I got InTouch with Doncaster because Stuart wasn’t giving me any answers or even getting back to me other than a blunt email here and there and Doncaster was very helpful said they don’t understand why I haven’t had an update typed reg in and said it will arrive today but no admin was in to invoice the car so I’d have to wait until Monday (this was Saturday) I said I’d need to come the following Saturday as I work untill 4:30 and live in Hull so getting there for 6 would be to tight I might not make it the reply I got was this “well you’ve come in on a low finance rate and as of 27/01/21 our rates all change so you will end up going from 4.5% APR to 8.9% APR” so they string me along for over 2 weeks don’t give me a collection day and treat me like they don’t want to do business with me and then threaten me with this? Doncaster also told me all they have to do is type my reg in for tracking my vehicle and that it had been in numerous compounds and numerous drivers taking it home over night. At this point I should of pulled out but I can honestly say if you are reading this do not purchase your new vehicle from this company look else where I had nothing but stress when spending thousands of pounds on a car and feel like I wish I never bothered In the first place I even asked the salesman Stuart Lennox if there was any fees if I just pull out the deal and he said no fees you can do that... Imagine employing a car salesman that doesn’t even try to talk someone out of pulling out of a deal and lies to customers if I was this guy’s manager he would be gone but I’m guessing the management is even more to blame than Stuart himself. What a disaster of a company Arnold Clark would be turning in his grave this place is an absolute joke shop. I’d also like to add THE 60 DAY WARRANTY IS GARBAGE AS YOU ARE COVERED BY TRADING STANDARDS FOR 6 MONTHS SO DONT LET THESE COW BOYS GET YOU WITH THAT ONE EITHER!!! Update the cars mot advisories where never done as stated by my sales advisor Stuart Lennox and this has been confirmed by a reputable garage now I’m having to pay for this! I’ve had to replace the wheels as they where wielded inside with serious damage and unsafe for use! And the swirl marks from the terrible valet and paint work is also been sorted all together I’m having to pay £1,580 because Arnold Clark are useless and won’t help customers!
