Great Car, Exceptional Service
As an expectant first time mum I had been looking at replacing my 3 door Corsa with a newer and more practical 5 door car for quite some time. My original plan was to replace my car with a newer Corsa from a Vauxhall dealer. All this changed quickly however as soon as I set foot in the Arnold Clark Branch in Stafford. About a week ago, I spotted a lovely 67 reg Peugeot 208 with just 1mile on the clock online, so I decided to visit Arnold Clark and have a look at it in person. Upon my arrival my husband and I were greeted by the pleasant and extremely knowledgeable Robbie Dodd. I explained which car I was looking for and he immediately took us to it, he gave us plenty of time to check out the car without hassling us while at the same time staying nearby to answer all our questions. I loved the car straight away but wasn’t sure as I had never driven a 208 before, Robbie suggested a test drive. I took advantage of this opportunity as this really helped make up my mind about how comfortable the car was. Robbie explained to me that normally a car genius comes along on any test drives rather than the sales person, as there we no geniuses available at the time however Robbie offered to jump in himself and allowed me to drive the drive wherever I wanted however long for. Afterwards my husband and I left the store to allow ourselves some time to think and look at possible alternatives. But after test driving the 208 and the experience at Arnold Clark it soon became obvious to me this was the car I wanted. Even more so after opening an attachment sent to me by Robbie. He had sent me a personalised and detailed video review of the car we had looked at. So we decided to return later that day and managed to get a good deal of Robbie. At first the car was just above my budget, after some negotiating however we managed to reach a very acceptable agreement. The car was given a complimentary full service the next morning and just a day after I had test driven it I was driving home my shiny new 208. Before leaving the car park at Arnold Clark Robbie gave me plenty of time to inspect the car and helped me set up the Bluetooth connection to my phone. He also explained they were unable to get the film of the chrome underneath the windows, so he had had all the chrome replaced free of charge as he said he wouldn’t have felt comfortable selling us the car otherwise. The car looked absolutely stunning! Once I got home my husband noticed the ariel was missing however, so I phoned Robbie, he told me to come back up and within a few minutes I was on my way back again with the ariel fixed. I couldn’t have asked for a better car buying experience! Thank you to Robbie Dodd and all the people who looked after my new car at Arnold Clark Stafford. I am one very happy customer.
