Jansons Retail LTD/ Jansons Cars. Although this is registered in his partners name, Micheal Stephen Neal or Mike Neal runs, manages and represents this business. Purchased a car from the above company in April 2023. Initially good impressions of the business, nice enough to deal with on test drive etc. The car was faulty, and it showed up straight away after collection. Mike refused straight away to diagnose or rectify any issues. The car needed a full gearbox refurbishment, and with the business refusing to resolve it as they should, I submitted a claim against them in the County Court. Mike was difficult throughout, playing for time throughout the court process. At a hearing the judge awarded against Mike and Jansons Retail LTD, and they could not believe the stance taken by the business, and found they upheld no responsibility under the Consumer Rights Act. I was awarded full costs to repair the vehicle, any costs incurred and full court fees. This was eventually settled 2 hours before the deadline by Jansons Retail LTD, after trying and failing to appeal the CCJ with an application to the court that was denied instantly by the court. I believe the cars are from auctions, so you may get lucky and your car be fine, but if you get a faulty car, expect no warranty, and your statutory rights will not be upheld by this company. I’d recommend checking the service book before purchase, I suspect Mike will get frustrated if you ask this, but you will likely find faked service stamps by unknown garages, this way he can sell the cars as FSH. If you do get scammed by this seller, do not be put off by his confidence or intimidated by him, he can talk the talk, but the law is on your side. He will likely say he will defend his business with Lawgistics Law firm, he will not. Stick it out with the County Court through the small claims process, log it with citizens advice, log it with ActionFruad. Citizens Advice are well aware of this individual, and have received over 24 complaints against him. We purchase a car from Mike Neal Car Warehouse. Had the car less than a week, when we found it had a water leak. Took it back and he said he would get it repaired. Mike said that they had fitted a hose clip. We picked it up again and it still had the leak. We noticed that a sealant had been used in the past. We were reluctant to let them have it back and said we wanted to have it repaired elsewhere. Mike pleaded for us to take it back in, for his garage to repair. We reluctantly took it back to him. After 8 days and many phone calls/text he said it was fixed, (we had to chase him up all the time, he kept making excuses) This garage does not have any after sales service, the staff (apart from Paul) are not friendly and we certainly would not buy a car from them in the future. Also my husband had left some tools in the boot and when we checked we found that his socket set was missing.

Avoid this seller. Travelled 110 miles to pick the car up and went I got there to check car out it had 2 back tires at 1.6mm tread on them so by the time I would of got home 110 miles it would of been under the legal limit. Also car was on sale with 60000 miles on the clock and when check on arrival it have over 69000 knowing I was traveling distance for this car had no fuel in it. Salesman was rude and refused to give back my deposit back when I decline to take the car. He got the owner there and he also refused to refund me. AVIOD AVIOD AVOID.
