Fast forward to February, and the diagnosis reveals a nightmare: high crankcase pressure, collapsed turbo impeller bearings, and steering rack failure. Despite the urgent need for repairs, the warranty company's single claim limit falls drastically short of covering the cost of a new engine. Astonishingly, the dealer's claim of acquiring the car from a repeat customer is debunked—it was actually purchased from an auction house. Contact with the previous owner uncovers a troubling truth: they sold the vehicle due to these exact issues. Now facing a staggering £17,000 bill, Ashbourne Automotive, led by David, has shown a callous disregard for customer satisfaction. Despite clear grounds for the finance company to reject the vehicle under the Consumer Rights Act, David persists in playing hardball. To add insult to injury, David attempted to bribe me into removing my negative reviews, insinuating that it would increase my chances of having the vehicle taken back as a "goodwill gesture." Goodwill on the back of a bribe? Are you kidding, David? It's regrettable that what began as a promising interaction with David has devolved into a frustrating battle for justice. With the involvement of the Ombudsman, I am hopeful that accountability will prevail, but it's disheartening that such measures are necessary.
