I was asked to help an elderly neighbour inspect a vehicle on this forecourt. The dealer (or a colleague) was clearly very uncomfortable with my presence and the fact that he couldn't put pressure on this 75 year old man and sell him a car that was not only highly overpriced but in my opinion was totally unroadworthy. At all stages of my inspection this salesman was hounding me demanding to know who I was and what my profession was. He was so close I thought he was going to hump my leg at one point and I had to ask him to back away from me. The man then began to insult me telling me in no uncertain terms that I was not intelligent enough to understand the condition of the car he was trying to palm off on my elderly friend. He eventually handed over the keys and walked away but as soon I popped the bonnet and checked the oil he was back in my face telling me I could probably find fault with anything. I honestly thought he was going to violent and I ended my inspection and advised the old man to stay clear of this guy and his dodgy cars. The brakes were a major concern and as the discs were heavily worn and has at least a 3mm lip where the pads had been wearing into them and the brake lines were corroded. The car appeared to have been involved in an accident on the driver side with all four panels damaged to some extent which had been poorly repaired and even painted over by hand. Despite showing him that the back box was rusted through and handing him clumps of rusted metal he was in complete denial stating that it was surface rust. I advise anyone want to buy from this guy to steer clear and to find a car from a more reputable dealer. Thanks for reading.
