Having decided to travel 3 hrs to view a car from EMM Performance & Prestige who had told me over the phone that the car had full service history plus was in outstanding condition in/outside which sounded about right for the type of car that I was looking for I had paid a refundable deposit to them before seeing the car the day had come to view and off I went from a person who have had a car or few in the past I could not believe my eyes of the heap that was presented to me (I was waiting for the boys off Saturday night tv to pop around the corner and tell me it was wind up) and to make matters worse EMM performance would not return my emails/ calls regarding the refundable deposit and to date has not returned my funds which will now be handed over to small claims court these are crooks be warned.

I travelled 80 miles to look at a van. When we arrived there was no one there even though I had previously booked the appointment. After finally getting someone to the office I had a look at the vehicle and took it for a test drive, I loved it and paid a cash deposit. I had then arranged to collect the vehicle two weeks later. This is when the trouble started. They told me the turbo had gone on he van, seemed strange as when I had the test drive it seemed fine. Another week went by with a lot of one way communication, eventually I spoke to someone and they told me they would not sell the van to me as hey would lose money on the deal. I thought this was not great but understood they needed to recover their money after supposedly replacing the turbo. They said they would refund my deposit which I accepted. Three weeks later and many phone calls and emails I still have not received the deposit. I have now informed theme that I will be going to the small claims court to recover my money. Advice stay away from EMM Performance and Prestige.

THink Hard Before YOU BUY!!!!!!!!! Bought a nearly £14000, Vehicle in October had oil leak after a 4 weeks they said it was under warranty from Landrover and told me to take it to them, it wasnt. the repair was over £600 , Ems said their warranty would only pay £350 and they would get that in 3-4 weeks, its January now, they have blocked by number and have not even paid the £350. Looks like they keep the warranty money for themselves or there is no warranty.

Bought a car for near enough £10k and engine failed with in 3 months spoke to dealer and was not interested and had found he hadn't even warranted the car and wouldn't do anything to help. AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!!

Collected my car on the Ist March. Its pretty good so far for the price, which made allowance for work required on the brakes. Actual purchase of car, organising road tax etc. all handled very professionaly, and drove away within the hour. My own garage mechanic describes it as a sound purchase. Many thanks, but you do need a coffee machine!!

I agreed a sale of a car and EVEN spent money on a AA inspection, buying a private plate etc. The day of driving over to pay and collect, they called me to say they had sold it from underneath me to someone else. I argued that we had entered into a contract of sale when he agreed in writing over email to accept my offer after days of negotiating. They did not care and would not answer my calls and emails. What does this say about how they conduct business? BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!STAY AWAY!!!!! *** I HAD A LUCKY ESCAPE ****
