This being my first and it be my last experience with Grimsby cars Ltd. Purchased a mini from this dealership on a part exchange. On purchase drove the mini out of their garage onto Ladysmith road, red engine warning symbol came on. Close to Grimsby cars ltd garage. Drive back there. Their mechanic sorted out this proplem. Drive again for 20 minutes red engine warning symbol back on again. Again I returned to Grimsby cars Ltd. This time kept my car and loaned me a wreck of a Toyota. Other loan cars were out on loan. Not surprised? First eight months on owning this vehicle need two rear tyres fitting. Proof of purchase? Tyre company specified to me both rear tyres over eight years of age. And the two front tyres 4 years of age. Tyre company recommend 5 years max. internal deterioration from oxidization. Wall cracking. Explained by the tyre company direct to me. Thank them for that Next problem still in my first year of motoring with this vehicle. Brake pads red warning symbol lit up. Front pads close to damaging both discs. Cost to me? Had my first neutral MOT and shocked at the number expensive advisories. This vehicles been service at Grimsby cars Ltd and a full MOT. before any purchase. And this vehicle in that year covered 5000 miles. Decided to check the rear brake pads. Removed rear wheel found locking screw, should normally hold the hub in position sheared inside. Never seen MOT inspection remove wheels. Final gear lever, top came away whilst driving. Leaving me a sharp edge surface. Called at Grimsby cars Ltd to show Mike Croft the problem. Only to be greeted with abuse and swearing. Telling me "it's 10 year old car what do I expect" Hope any person if thinking of buying a Jaguar or a Mercedes even a Bentley that over 10 years of age beware from this garage. Because after your 6 months expires prepare for abuse? Thank goodness their are still good dealerships around. Yes same Mike Croft who at one time was a proprietor at Humber Trade Centre Grimsby.

In response to this review we have helped this customer out well after his warranty had expired . He came back after 12 months after having his car mot tested elsewhere with a loose fog light which could have been damaged during his ownership however we repaired it free of charge ahe has complained about the age of tyres which had not failed mot some 12 months later . It is not a legal requirement to change tyres unless worn below 1.6 mm or damaged our policy is tyres would be replaced at point of sale if below 3mm . The customer has re visited to complain after his 2nd year of ownership with regard to him breaking his gear knob and a pin that has broken in his rear brake calliper. This customer has been taking the car elsewhere for service work .His opening comment when he got out of his car and I was polite to him was that I was untrustworthy and that he would not be recommending our garage to anyone to which I found this personally offensive .We pride ourselves on our customer service and indeed he was not happy with our offer of a courtesy car which is part of our aftersales service . I would also mention that this customer is also aware that we had a problem with the car that he traded in ( fuel injector ) on his perfect Volvo indeed cars do unfortunately sometimes go wrong . this customer is entitled to his opinion however. I sincerely hope that our customers know that we are always here to assist and help keep them safely on the road . Mike Croft Managing Director
I had Neil deal with me, professional all the way through. Helped me find the right car at the right price! All the paperwork had been made easy for me, Nothing had been hidden from me in small print which I’m pleased about
Caf broke day 1. Repaired at own cost then head gasket blew and he refused everything and blamed me. Found previous owner to find the problem was known. Avoid Grimsby Cars like the plague.

I bought a car from Humber street Trade sales and they new I wanted a car with a bigger boot for a wheel chair and shopping, They gave me £500 pound part exchange for my civic honda and I also gave them £300 cash, two days later I took the car back and told them under my consumer right to return within 30 I wanted my car and cash back. Three off the shockers had gone, the engine over heats the exhaust fell in half and the breaks did not work as well as they should have done and took a while for the car to stop, also 3 off the 4 tyres where not legal and he sold me this car for £800, He refused to give me my car and money back and even went to trade and standards and they could not make him either, so am taking them to court.

My Honda Civic was purchased from here recently, everything is fine,I have a 3 months warranty for any issues,iim about to use as one of mirrors doesn't fold in. Its just a matter of getting back to one of there garages then they have said they will do the work. Additionally, they got it taxed and MOT before i took it away so that was 2 less things to worry about. Even my step dad is going to go in. The main thing is that they wasn't pushy which i found really good as theres nothing worse
