Just wanted a run around for a short period that was reliable. As I was purchasing the car from Australia sight unseen this was going to be fun!!! Well northern folk are genuine and as my in-laws are from a town close by I used my instinct. Lucky the car and buying from andrew was a pleasant one . He described the car and not expecting anything too Fabulous and for the money I was paying no body would . However the car turn out better than I’d expected and was fun to drive and pulled like a train as described by Andrew. He keep the car for me as I’d seen it and decided to advance purchase ahead of my arrival. The day before I arrived he’d arranged details for me with all book worked done a 3 month warranty in place and help with getting in on road for me . All very nice and a pleasure to deal with . I would recommend dealing with andrew . Thank you for a reliable and cheap car to start us on our journey. Cheers Andrew
A word of warning about Andrew from Hand Picked Cars North West. This man cannot be taken at his word! I assisted my elderly parents find a car and we found what appeared to be a good option from Hand Picked Cars North West (a one-man dealership owned by Andrew). Just to provide some reassurance, they took up the recommended warranty that Andrew suggested at around £200 extra. Weeks later, the promised policy documents were nowhere to be seen. Multiple phone calls and emails to Andrew and multiple assurances by Andrew that he would attend to it (when he clearly never did until REALLY pressured) ensued. Finally, the policy document arrived. We thought, "Great! We can move on!" However, about 2 weeks ago, there was a problem that needed attention. My parents contacted the warranty provider (Warranty Wise) only to be told the policy had lapsed because the policy (that my parents had paid Andrew for) had not been paid to them. So Andrew pocketed the £200 that was meant to pay for the warranty. As far as I am aware, that's fraud! Andrew is FULL of excuses and reasons why he shouldn't be blamed. Now he's blaming Warranty Wise & Covid! Come on! You pocketed the money Andrew - that's not Warranty Wise's fault or the virus' fault! And he's promising to pay back the £200 (I'll believe it when I see it) but that's not going to help too much if the bill to fix the car is £1200 is it Andrew?! I've seen a number of positive reviews for him, and I guess if all goes well, then he's fine but our experience is that he's the kind of car salesman that deserves the reputation! Slippery as an eel and keeps promising to do this and that and literally NEVER does it. Seriously - if you have 2 cars on your shortlist and one is from Andrew, buy the other one! This guy is not to be trusted.

This Andrew is a nice guy but when it goes wrong will not want to know. He sold us a great car which unfortunately on arrival had two faults which Andrew promised to have fixed, one was leaking fuel all over the road, which was dangerous, the other was a faulty locking mechanism. We agreed not to return the car but that we would get it fixed locally, this took us time, money and logistical difficulties. We saved some expense by sourcing the parts from eBay. On providing an invoice this was met with numerous promises to pay. As yet we still haven’t received our money for the repairs totalling £295. We are seeking legal advice. AVOID Hand Picked Cars in Wigan.

* Response from owner * Regards purchase of low mileage 2004 TOYOTA YARIS we sold with full servis history 2 keys professionally valeted 12 months mot with no advisory,s and 4 new tyres recently fitted which we sold at a cost of £1290.00includeing free delivery from wigan to kirby Stephens Hi Diana whilst i appreciate your emotional with regards your new car i believe you have took a lot of this out of context and using strong words with in your review and facts stated are not totally true i strongly believe two side to every story on arrival you was told the remote control button occasionally would not lock the car and it had be locked manually by key which you was happy with the process inspected vehicle with your partner test drove happy with car sale completed on journey home by train received call to inform me oil spill turned out to be fuel spill rang local garage booked car in for inspection appreciated you took car for inspection i was on the train traveling back to wigan 2 hrs of complaint car inspected even though they wear fully booked and fault identified corroded fuel tank over flow pipe common fault which had come to light because car was filled to fuel tank capacity which i was not a wear off as we have no need to fill cars we sell to fuel tank capacity you was informed by garage car was safe to drive and it would be over 3 weeks before car could be booked in for repair as they wear fully booked being the only local repair garage in the village i asked for an estimate of work to be sent before authorizing repair i received invoice for £275.00 for work completed as a good will i am prepared to forward you £137.99 towards repair cost ... Bought ford focus absolutely lovely very pleased with purchase would recommend hand picked cars to anyone very polite and friendly to deal with and would definitely get another car from them in the future

Im sorry you was not happy with your car I was not aware of any problems as you did not get in touch as to the car not being clean as stated on reviews I clean and prepar all my cars my self i have very high standards and also you rated me low for after care how can I no you have a problem if you don't contact me on my autotrader website I am 5 star with over 60 +reviews
I purchased a car from Hand Picked Cars in Wigan last year. After having the car checked by a local garage they said the car wasnt roadworthy and that it needed a lot of work done on it. When I went back to Hand Picked Cars they were refusing to do any repairs until I threatened to take further action. They were very good at selling the car and during the sale they couldn't be more helpful but the after sales has really let them down.

I am sorry you was not happy with your purchase from our self if i remember correctly you had a problem with one of your coil pack which you independent garage had advised you to change all 4 which was not correct we picked you car up straight a way and checked car on diagnostic machine and it told us 1 needed to be replaced we replaced with a bosc product not a cheap brand we endeavor to address problems i am sorry you was not happy with you purchases but we have lots of satisfied customers regards handpicked cars north west .
