We bought a car from Holmfirth Cars in May 2021; we paid the full asking price and decided to add on 12 month's extra warranty in addition to the free 6 month's warranty that came with the car. When I checked with Autotrust to see if it was valid in Europe, he said it was and it was valid until May 2022; I said that we had paid for an extra 12 months and he said no, it runs out in May 2022. I contacted Holmfirth cars to clarify the matter and he said that we had only paid for 6 months; he then waffled on trying to baffle me with his knowledge of cars, warranties etc .The bottom line is I know that I paid for an extra 12 month's warranty and he has got away with not giving me my free 6 month's warranty. I would definitely not recommend this man or the Company.

No one was more sceptical than me about car salesmen as Lee will tell you, but when my car was stolen and I was forced into the world of secondhand car dealerships, I was truly dreading buying a new car. I saw a car I liked the look of and went to Holmfirth Cars full of trepidation. I should not have worried! Lee Snaith is that rare thing, an honest guy who sells cars. I bought a Mazda 2 1.5 Sportblack from him 6 weeks ago and it’s the best car I’ve ever had. I honestly can’t recommend him enough. I took the car back to him over a minor problem with the rear light over the numberplate and he fixed it willingly and for free. You can believe what he tells you about the cars on the forecourt, go check him out, you will not be disappointed! He’s got a sense of humour too! (He needed it dealing with me!) I would not recommend anyone to buy cars here. 1st of all the owner was rude, bad mangers and arrogant, he just doesn’t know how to talk to customers. He doesn’t listen to customers what they say and when he doesn’t like what he hears, he starts getting aggressive and shouting out......like I’ve been in this business for 25 yrs and blah blah blah. I didn’t feel comfortable and welcoming at all. Whats funny is, he wouldn’t let me test drive the car before buying it. How is anyone willing to buy a car without test driving it. Well he’s response was.......bcos of the Covid/social distancing and government guidelines they aren’t allow test drives. But am pretty sure other car dealer do solo test drives. ALL IN ALL I WOULD AVIOD THIS PLACE......Look else where and stay away from this awful place.
