Reserved a car after lengthy conversations trying to find out as much about the car as possible. Transferred holding deposit of £250 sending screenshot of the transfer. Then they decided to call me telling me they sold it to someone else. Not how you do business. Highly unprofessional

Found Independent cars in Sheffield on Autotrader and the reviews make me comfortable with the drive from Manchester to see the car I wanted, Jaguar X-Type. I then bought my car from Independent Cars in Jan 2017, was the best one of the model I could find, immaculate on collection. Had no problems with the car in two years. A local garage owner I know has said mine is the nicest X-Type he has ever seen. I was so impressed with the service and presentation, I take my car back for its annual service, get charged a very fair price for it. Would recommend this business to anyone and if I do change my car in the future, I will be asking Steve or Jay to find the one I want.

After passing my driving test I was panicking about getting a car. I know nothing about cars and didn't want to get one that would fall apart. After a lot of research on the internet, I came across an VW UP that Independent Cars were selling. It was within my price range and I went to have a look (had 3 other cars to look at that day). The garage looked nice and professional, the car was clean and open, I climbed in and looked at the engine without anyone bothering me. The lady who dealt with me was really nice and even let my boyfriend drive the car as well as me. Overall I had great experience, I've had the car for over 6 months now and had no problems with it even though I drive it A LOT every day.
