The car failed the MOT in April 2025 with the Repair immediately (major defects): • Offside Front Shock absorbers has a serious fluid leak (5.3.2 (b)) • Nearside Front Anti-roll bar linkage ball joint dust cover no longer prevents the ingress of dirt (5.3.4 (b) (ii)) With the following advisories: • Front Brake disc worn, pitted or scored, but not seriously weakened Both Sides (1.1.14 (a) (ii)) • Rear Tyre slightly damaged/cracking or perishing Both Sides (5.2.3 (d) (ii)) • Offside Front Tyre worn close to legal limit/worn on edge (5.2.3 (e)) • UNDERBODY COVERED ALL OVER IN UNDERSEAL We understand the advisors and we have had work done to correct these. However, whilst this work was being completed it was discovered that the repair immediately work had not been completed, which makes me wonder about the MOT and the safety of the car. Even more, whilst having this work corrected another problem has come to light, which is that there is a hole in the sub frame, which as a result has made the car not safe to drive. My garage has reported this to the trading standard office. Looks like "spray the car with underseal to hide all these problem". Good price to buy but needed another £1800 to make it safe.

*Avoid Safe Cars T/A Reliable Cars Bedford* My friend purchased a car from Safe Cars, and it broke down within *8 miles* of leaving the dealership due to a major gearbox fault. Despite the dealer admitting they knew about the issue, they have refused to refund the money and have been rude, unprofessional, and dismissive throughout. My friend has been left without a car, out of pocket, and incredibly stressed. This dealership has shown a total lack of honesty and customer care. *Do not trust Safe Cars*– avoid them completely!

I purchased a VW Golf from Safe Cars T/A Reliable Cars Bedford on 13th October 2024 for £3,900. Within just 8 miles of driving, the car developed a major gearbox fault, rendering it completely undriveable. I immediately contacted the dealer, who admitted knowing the fault existed before the sale and promised to resolve the matter. What followed was nothing short of appalling. Despite numerous promises to refund my money, the dealer has been uncooperative, rude, and dismissive. I have faced verbal abuse over the phone, constant delays, and false assurances of payments being processed. They have refused to honour their legal obligations under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, which entitles me to a full refund for a faulty vehicle within 30 days of purchase. This ordeal has left me without a car, out of pocket, and incredibly stressed. Safe Cars has demonstrated a complete lack of professionalism, honesty, and customer care. If you value your hard-earned money and peace of mind, I strongly advise you to avoid this dealership at all costs. I will be pursuing this matter through legal channels, but I feel it’s important to share my experience so others don’t fall into the same situation.

Please do NOT buy from Safe Cars, aka A&A Reliable Cars. Immediately on buying our car we knew there was an issue so we contacted them, especially as we had purchased a warranty from them. They have refused to reply to messages, despite us doing everything by the book & we notified them there was a problem within 48 hours of buying the car.
