My disappointing experience with Absolute Smarts and Kenny: I previously owned a Smart car and needed to replace it after scrapping mine. I was actively looking for a reliable, trustworthy dealer and was happy to pay more to ensure I got a well-maintained vehicle. Absolute Smarts initially seemed like the right choice. Kenny was helpful, kind, and responsive at the start, and I felt confident moving forward with purchasing a Smart 451 from them for £3,450 (with a small discount). The car looked to be in good condition and, as I was told, fully serviced. Unfortunately, within just one week of driving it, the clutch actuator failed and I broke down in the middle of the road. I contacted Kenny for help. His initial response was that he was with family and didn’t have time to deal with it, so I said no problem and I ended the call. I called again the next day and was met with unexpected hostility and shouting because I ended the call— not something I expected after spending thousands with a dealer. All I needed was some reassurance on what to do next. Eventually, the car was repaired and he mentioned it was now fully serviced, including a fixed horn — which, surprisingly, wasn’t working despite the car having recently passed an MOT. To be cautious, I took the car for a second opinion at an independent garage. They identified around £1,900 worth of issues. I later discovered additional problems bringing the total closer to £2,250. I messaged Kenny again and initially received no response for over a month. After checking in with him again, he did reply, he dismissed the concerns, saying, “Sorry, you have your own mechanic.” I also noticed signs suggesting parts of the car may have been resprayed, including fading and spray residue on interior rubber trims. This raised further doubts about the car's history. I was also told that the previous owner serviced the car themselves, though I was given conflicting details about that too. Despite trying to communicate reasonably and give Kenny the opportunity to help resolve the matter, I was met with avoidance, attitude, and a lack of accountability. I felt let down and unsupported after the sale. I’m sharing this to urge others to be very cautious. If you decide to buy from this dealer, please have the vehicle independently inspected immediately after purchase. I was hoping to leave a 5 star review, if Kenny would've helped me resolve these but at this point I don't think it will ever happen.

We have a one star and I'm glad I have, I stood up to a con man a scammer Lets cut to the chase, the real reason we got a one star and its simple, the customer wanted to scam us out of £2,250 for non existent repairs We received a text message wanting £2,250 for repairs, this is strange we thought, how very strange. The message was written as a text message, I found this very odd, I would have expected a photo or a screen shot of an invoice or an estimate, with a company name, address labour rates and VAT, but no just a message written down I looked at the prices he quoted, and the prices where two maybe three times more expensive that would they should be. It was a con. The car had just had a New one years MOT and a service (the horn did work by the way, the customer bought the car to us and it worked, there you go) Like all scamming emails and text messages, we ignored the message, the government tells us to do this, he's just trying it on. I think he wanted me to hand him over £2,250 in cash, there was no mention of a refund he just wanted the money. The car is used for deliveries so she's having a hard life bless her and she's over 15 years of age So we heard nothing, nothing at all, the months rolled into seasons. Autumn then winter and then onto spring It was a scam, he tried it on and it didn't work out, not wanting a refund (which I would have done) we didn't hear a thing, which is what scammers do, they try once didn't work and then move on. I received a text message from the customer months later, as he wanted us to carry out a service to the car, we ignored him, we do not want this type of person as a customer, it’s not want we want, its not what my customers want either. We received a phone call saying, " that he wanted his car serviced", which is quite ironic really considering he wants to give us a one star review We explained that we didn't want his custom and that the garage that did the over the top estimate could carry out the works to the car, which is now obviously fake. I'm guessing this is when he got upset and that he got found out, we have morals, we don’t want that sort of custom at our car lot He then wrote this review, why didn't he do this months ago, i would have done the same if it was my car car, if the above was true, I would have asked for a refund obviously it wasn't, it was all lies We work all of the hours, all of the days, we love our smart cars and our customers our friends So yes we have a one Star review for standing up to a con man a scammer. All I asked is to help me repair these issues. I never asked for refund, just to fix the issues with the car as I bought it saying the car is in excellent condition without any faults! The horn wasn't working and I had to take it back to you. All lies Kenny... This would've been an easy resolution if you would've just give me a quote on how much you fix the outstanding issues. Yet you replied with an arrogant text. I NEVER asked for refund!!! Just to provide me with a quote to fix the issues. And I never been a scammer, maybe you should look into your business first and see how you deal with your customers.

First time of using Absolute Smart for my Daughters car. The quality of the service was excellent and MOT was all done very quick .Explained well to my Daughter what was done . Fantastic service and as a Dad I would recommend Absolute Smart to anyone . Great value for money . Thank you ,Mike ( The Pink Smart)
