I bought an astra gtc for £8250. The car had dents on the wide arches and every alloy was scuffed beyond belief by the previous owner who had not looked after the car at all. I was sold the car which seemed to be ok. A few days after having the vehicle i heard a grinding noise which i believed to be the brakes and this persisted over the next week or so and also a service light appearing on the dash, so i called joe at alan tully cars and described it to him he said for me to to take it down to the garage that they use and they will check it over but assured me it had passed it's MOT and it had also been serviced. I took the car back over to nottingham to the garage they have used for 30 years and they looked at my brakes and said there was nothing wrong with the brakes and that i would have another 1000 miles on them easily, the guy that worked at the garage also starngely asked me if i had children which i replied no and he said "you will be alright then" they also replaced the thermostat housing that was bringing the service light up. . I got my car to work the next week and the noise kept going I work in the vehicle industry for diagnostic company but a colleague of mine was previously a mechanic had a look at my brakes and my front brake pads were completely shot it. It was very lucky i was able to brake. I booked it in to a garage to have a full check on the vehicle and if anything else came up i was looking to return the car. The engine seems to be mechanically sound. The garage confirmed the brakes were not working at the front and that it needed new brake pads as they were gone nothing left on them (baring in mind it had a MOT 2 weeks before and the brake box was ticked to say they were fine. I called Joe again and he did apologize and made payment to me straight away as i had to have the brakes done there and then because i have a 5 year old nephew i pick up most days. The car was turned out very poor no mats it was still being cleaned when i turned up to pick it up. The car has awful paint work that i believe was touched up in the week prior to me picking it up. The alloys had been refurbished and they are now peeling off they were done to a very poor standard. The paint work where it has been sprayed from the dents being taken out looks like a patchwork quilt. The car and service overall was very poor, you don't expect to pay £8500 to buy a piece of rubbish that looks completely awful. The only part of the car the paint work is good is the boot. Who ever they use to spray cars and refurb alloys needs to do his qualification again if they even have any. I would NEVER buy a car from this company and wish i could give the car back.

A pleasure to deal with: unlike most dealers they are straightforward, helpful and not pushy. The car we purchased (Mitsubishi Shogun) was excellent value for money. Alan agreed to deal with a few minor flaws, and he was as good as his word. We picked up the car yesterday and ars delighted with it. We willl definitely visit them again when we are ready to change our other vehicle.

I bought a Toyota from Alan Tully Cars back in April. The service was good and the car is fantastic but I have only received one key which concerns me. Other than that they are a good dealership and I would recommend them.

I had previously spoken to Alan the night before regarding a white mini D. for my daughter advertised as "This Mini Looks 30K, Drives Superb And Will Not Disappoint You". We provisionally agreed a price and agreed for us to inspect the vehicle the following day. Away we went on our 200 miles round trip to find argh!! cream with none colour coded body panels, broken air intake pipes, polka dot roof and bonnet caused by bird excrement and tree droppings. The warning lights worked they didn't go off and the car begged us for a service. The belts were that tired they squeaked at us and even after all this we still took the mini for a test drive and despite all its ailments the car performed admirably. Now the serious bit, taken everything into consideration and speaking with my daughter who at this point had fallen head over heals with this car (women) we decided to go ahead with the purchase....and now the bad point. Alan is not a man of his word and the price increased overnight by 1K. We left with a blubbering daughter and the journey took twice as long to return home as we had numerous stops at various garages trying to pacify her. Many thanks.
We bought a 2008 Honda Accord from here and we couldn't be more pleased with the car and service provided.great people who were very helpful from the start.would recommend to anyone and will consider them in the future when needing another car.
Don't like dealing with car dealers couple of bad experiences from past, but checked out Alan Tully cars as they had good reviews bought a mondeo had it checked out by a mechanic and they were fine about it car had a fault took it back and they sorted it straight away, also rang me when spare key and old mots and paperwork was delivered to them, very friendly people and no pressure to buy exellent service the car was as described,I would certainly recommend them they have some very nice cars, I will defiantly go back there first before I buy a car from anywhere else, check them out worth a look
An honest car dealership, they were friendly guys who have been in the business a long time. They left me to go over the car for as long as I wanted and weren't at all pushy. I would recommend them for a good used car.
Very good service,no messing about would recommend these guys
