Bought a 19 plate BMW X2 from this lot in Feb thro click and collect, picked it up in Carlisle on a bleak, rainy day. Took it to be valeted, the trustworthy valeter then phoned me and asked that I come and look at the state of the car. He couldn't believe that this car had been allowed to leave a garage in such a mess! I could list the faults but it would take too long but, briefly, a badly glued back seat with suspect staining, divots out of central pillar, atrocious respray on various parts of car, scratches, chips, money in door panel to name but a few. Flat battery within weeks, replaced..flat again because they'd put a substandard battery in. Greenock then emailed Carlisle too ask if they could source "new parts" for car on Ebay to keep costs down!! Can you believe it? It took almost 5 months to resolve issues and I'm not convinced I'm out of the woods yet. I was without a car for weeks but they dont care. All I got was a goodwill gesture of £200 which didnt even cover the valet. I lost count of emails they didnt answer and phone calls they didnt return. When you complain you cant get any higher than the manager of the branch so save your breath. Bought a car from AC 15yrs ago and vowed I'd never do it again but time moves on and the memory dims but, I will say this, they ARE consistent they're still absolutely awful! NEVER AGAIN! AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Visited the Arnold Clark branch in Greenock and while we didn't end up buying the car that we test drove, we have to say, the service from Derrek was great. He was very knowledgable and there was no hard sell, which always puts us off. He. Let us take our time and talk things through, even went above and beyond with the offer. Can't recommend him highly enough.

Had got a car on finance and been told the past 5 days that i will get the car “tomorrow” then the day comes and i dont care anything so call them again for them to once again say “oh sorry no will be tomorrow” definitely wont be shopping with again.

I seen a car I liked on Arnold Clark’s web sight only it was in Leeds asked for it to be brought to Greenock, that took over a week despite being told it would take a few days, once in Greenock a few minor faults were found that they said they would fix, the car was quite dirty and needed a good clean and valet that they said they would do as standard on picking up the car it was clean and shiny outside but only given a quick clean inside, and when I went to connect my Bluetooth to the car the car’s Bluetooth was called fanny flaps maybe something the garage should be aware of and check it’s been cleared of passed owners nick names etc

HAVING PURCHASED A CAR ; THEN HAVING PAID FOR A 2 YEAR SERVICE PLAN; THEN ON FIRST SERVICE ; I WAS TREATED APPALINGLY, I STRONGLY SUSPECT TO ENSURE MORE MONEY WAS EXTRACTED FROM ME; AND WAS INDER DURESS AND PYSCHOLOGICAL BULLYING TACTICS USED TOWARDS ME. ALL FOR A SUBSTANTIAL AMOUNT OF MONEY TAKEN FROM ME. THIS IS BEING LEGALLY LOOKED INTO UPDATES TO FOLLOW.

Worst experience of my life. Saw a car I liked but wanted time to think about it. Was talked into leaving a deposit on it, with the assurance that it would be refunded immediately if I changed my mind. I arranged to visit the dealership to have my trade in appraised 6 days later due to work commitments which was agreed. 2 days later received a call from the salesman to say his manager insisted he call me to advise there was significant in the car I had reserved and they needed a decision one way or another regarding my intention to purchase. By leaving a deposit I was told no one else could purchase the car so why was it still being marketed is a mystery. Alarm bells were ringing and I told them to refund my deposit immediately and sell the car to one of the many people interested. 5 days later I am still waiting on my refund and the vehicle is still unsold. The branch manager is a joke - won’t accept my husband’s calls and blames the salesman for all misgivings - who incidentally is wasting his time working as a salesman for such a disgraceful excuse for a manager

When I shown interest in the car, Arnold Clark Ford in Greenock increased the price. Very strange practice. Also getting information about the car was like getting blood out of the stone.

The service and repair department in Arnold Clark ford Greenock are a joke . The girls on the reception are unhelpful ,cheeky . The repairs take far too long. I would not take my van back there or advise anyone else to.

Arnold Clark Ford in Greenock are first class guys! From my initial call to enquire, to the Product Genuises, friendly staff - wow! 10/10! Peter Strang was my salesperson and he was excellent. Friendly, professional, knowledgeable and not pushy at all. I will be recommending this garage to colleagues and friends. And thank you to the lovely salesman who gave my son the teddy and toy truck - lovely, such a personal touch. Keep up the good work guys!
