Ridiculous treatment from K Dow, M Joyal and Aidan (?), Fault occured on drive home from picking up (multiple faults identified). Been in garage 4 times to fix, and about to go in for a diagnostic for yet more faults. 9 days after picking car up, we requested to return the car due to repeated fault. S Singh agreed we could come in and look for an alternative car, or failing finding one, get a refund. S wasn’t in branch when we went in. No suitable alternative was found (none were looked out as promised), so we requested a refund. Aidan, who was meant to deal with us in S’s absence, couldn’t even access our file (hence never able to deal with return / refund) and became very obstructive and aggressive in his tone and language when we insisted on refund. He refused to process the refund. M Joyal, the “manager” wouldn’t speak with us or even apologise for the absolute carry on, and we’re still fighting to return the car despite requesting it 9 days into the 30 day return period and now being over two months down the line. K Dow lies through his teeth to anyone and everyone, and M Joyal lies on file saying things like we broke the car (first time we were ten mins from forecourt enroute home from pick up, another time the fault occured before we even drove away - as soon as ignition started at service centre so??!!). Do not trust and do not buy!!

AVOID THIS Arnold Clark Seafield Motorstore at any cost. We bought BMW X2 in October 2024 and within 5.5 months Engine blown up and after nearly a month without any courtesy car and after involving VW finance the engine was replaced and was told it comes with 1 year warranty. 2 weeks ago another big warning and burning smell coming and car is too risky to drive with kids. They give an appoinment 3 weeks later to have a look with no courtesy car provided causing huge inconvenience to kids and office commuting. Complained to Customer services, customer experience and VW finance. No solution yet. Absolutely NO after sales care exist here. Avoid at all cost.

Bought car on 2420/25 on next following day I had a problem with charging. Went to arnold clark and been sent away . Wasn't using the car on 29/20/25 rhe same charging issue (orange light, contact dealership). I'm going to hand a car back today 30/10/25) The one of the advisor told me next time go to mazda dealership Common I just bought the car from you. How I can use if can't charge?

Arnold clark, seat, seafield, edinburgh, Booked my car in for a diagnostics check as the mild hybrid 48v system stopped working all together, hadn't worked for over a month, at first they said they couldn't find anything wrong with the car except a breather pipe for the petrol emissions which they wanted £580 to change, i asked them to drive the car round their building which they did, yes we can see the fault now, but after having the car for two days they had no idea what was wrong, this wasn't a intermittent fault, the hybrid side of things didn't work at all, but they didn't know what was wrong or how to fix it, i asked if i should just collect the car, the answer was yes, i was charged £356 for two diagnostic checks, so beware anyone with a mild hybrid fault going to this main dealer as i don’t believe they have the ability to diagnose hybrid problems or actually repair them. The service department office worker was nice, so this review has no reflection on them.

Kenneth Dow of Arnold Clark Edinburgh Seafield Motorstore / Vanstore. Avoid this disgraceful salesman and liar. I reported an issue with my vehicle before being purchased and was told the problems would be fixed before collection, but they hadn’t. When the same issues came back, Kenneth denied the original conversation had ever happened. This shows a complete lack of honesty and accountability. Customers cannot rely on what they are told here. If you care about trust, transparency, and your car being fixed properly, take your business elsewhere.

I bought a skoda from AC in Edinburgh… I bought a skoda from AC in Edinburgh in early July with a 60 day warranty. On the test drive there was a slight grinding from the brakes which they assured me was to do with the sea air and being sat still for a while. A week later the grinding became stronger and after reversing there was a clunk after applying the brakes. I took it to a local garage where I live in the Outer Hebrides and they diagnosed that I needed new brake pads and disks. I notified AC and sent them an estimate for the work on 24th July (and again a week or so later) and there was no reply. I contacted them again today and was given the garage manager's email. He also did not reply. I'm getting the work done on the brakes on 11th August without their acknowledgment that I can get the work done in Benbecula rather than driving back to Edinburgh. Having spent close on £16,000 on a car I would expect it to be in good working order and if not they would at least assist in sorting out the issue. I would say that this is pretty poor customer service!! Date of experience: 08 August 2025

DO NOT BUY FROM ARNOLD CLARK SEAFIELD !!!! AVOID AVOID AVOID In 2022 I bought my first car from arnold clark seafield on finance as I was a 22 year old girl just starting off as a first time driver. 1 month of driving the car it broke down I had it fixed from arnold clark garage to have it for 1 day and it break down again, took it to an external garage where i was told the alternator in the car was completely broken and I had been sold it this way. Fair enough arnold clark took the car back and cleared my finance from that car, but I had no choice than to take another car from arnold clark on finance. After 1 year of having this car I had a free service and mot deal with the car so put it into the arnold clark garage again and they told me it needed new clamps put on they done the work and I paid £1200 for this to be done. Again after a couple weeks the car had all sorts of problems I took it to an external garage were they told me the wrong clamps had been put on the car which were causing more damage and was causing oil to leak and my engine was burning oil, also exhaust was ruined. I took it back to arnold clark again to say they had put the wrong clamps on my car, they agreed they were the wrong clamps and they had came loose so they said they weren't willing to put new clamps on but just tighten the wrong clamps that were already on the car. Me being nieve I just went with what arnold clark were saying thinking they know best. As my MOT came around this year I was told the car was on the brink and I'd be looking at new engine/exhaust for the car i was advised selling it now would be the best option. I traded in the car at arnold clark were I had to carry debt from my last car over to another car as the car didn't even last the 5 years finance deal !!!! I took another car out on finance from arnold clark again because I had no choice due to the debt from the last finance deal. On the way home I noticed a chip in the windscreen not even an hour after I had bought it! I tried to contact my sales assistant i dealt with at arnold clark which I got no response from. Booked in today to get the windscreen fixed as I was anxious it would get worse to be told when I arrived at an external garage that the windscreen had already been badly repaired. So I was sold another car that was already damaged !!!!! Again no answer from arnold clark they just don't care and that's 3 cars I have purchased from them in 2 and a half years that were all broken! AVOID AT ALL COSTS, especially if you are a first time driver like me they do not care and sell faulty cars!

My experience with this company's interview and hiring process has been quite disappointing. The hiring advisors displayed a lack of professionalism, which ultimately wasted my time as a candidate. I applied for one position, only to find that they were seeking "more experience" for a different role. Following the interview, I was directed to speak with their general manager, who unfortunately came across as rude and condescending. Based on this experience, I would advise others to reconsider applying for a position with this company.

Very very bad experiance..Dont buy MG car. They are the biggest liers inhave ever seen in my life… I bought a car a week ago MG Zs ev 24 plate. On the website the range is 220 but the car only give 165 miles for couple of days and after 2 days now is giving 130 miles. And on the mg official website they claim 220 miles range. Thats a brand new carr performance👏👏 When i went to arnold clark they said in winter this car will give you the same range. I said why u guys didnt told me before selling this shit. And why is not mentioned on the official site of MG. They said we cannt do anything u need to do your reserch before comming and buying. I said why u guys are here then?? Absolute theftttt. Absolute theft.

I bought a car 3 months ago it lost power going round a busy roundabout not had the car for 2 months it was only a year old and has been to every hyundai garage now in Glasgow, has done more miles on the back of a pick up truck , and the customer service is a joke every time I phone get told someone will get back to me they never do.
