Vehicle purchase and delivery was relatively smooth (although delayed due to salesperson being on holiday). However, aftercare has been very poor. Following numerous phone calls (no-one passes on messages to colleagues) and emails I have not received the vehicle log book and have had to pay for a replacement. I gave them everything they needed for my part exchange, but this was not reciprocated for my purchase.

Bought a leaf in may 2023 online without visiting the showroom. Contact signed and money paid all distance selling. Picked up the car in swansea first visit to Bassetts. Decided a couple days later I didn't want the car so enacted distance selling regulations to reject the car as is my legal right (i.e. within 14 days). Garage refused and employed solicitor refusing to discuss with me any further. Went to ombudsman. After 2 months started to drive the car as they had my money. 12 months later ombudsman decided in my favour 100% and told garage to give me my money back. Garage appealed, and in my opinion prevaricated significantly over provision of reasons. Finally ombudsman found again in my favor legally after 18 months and finally managed to return the car and get my money back but the management hid in their offices leaving a confused salesman to deal with the return. It appears the garage wants to sell cars using distance selling but does not want to comply with legal restrictions. Since the ombudsman decision the garages management have not given me the courtesy of an apology nor recognition of the way I've been treated. It has taken 18 months countless email and phone calls to force them to meet their legal obligations.

Just awful After paying £28000 for a new car I drove it away to find it had 2 problems. I notified Brad and one month later it is still unresolved. The arm rest is broken and the brake assist does not work. I would happily have used them again in future but not now, they are happy to take your money but offer no after sales service. Brad has been helpful but his managers are a waste of space and clearly letting this company down. Two such minor problems could be easily sorted but they just don't care. I removed the arm rest to find it cracked and a broken piece fell out, how difficult would it be just to post out a new arm rest? Do not risk buying a vehicle from Bassetts if you want after sales service as you won't get it. Very disappointed as service was great until I told them about the two problems.

We have just purchased our new Qashqai E Power, from Bassets Swansea. This was after several new cars purchased from them over the past 10 years. The staff are always very friendly and welcoming, some of which have been there for many years. From Ioan, the dealer principal, Ewan, business manager and Chris, sales executive we have had excellent, professional and friendly service, nothing is too much trouble as they go out of their way to assist in the purchase, providing the best deal. Chris was particularly helpful providing good friendly advice. Also the coffee is very good! We would recommend Bassets to anyone looking for a new or used car.
