Bought a Vauxhall Meriva from here in September 2021. They had lost a key which they said they would replace but this never happened. Car had serious defect on Power Steering Pump and Rear Coil Spring, company wanted to repair car but couldn't tell me where it would be repaired (i live in Herts) and wouldn't provide any courtesy car (saw on here they take cars for weeks). James Matthews is just a puppet for the awful owner Vas, real name Mohammed Auvas. I ended up having to get work completed and won in small claims court £1256.99. Never buy a car from here it will be all sweetness until collection and then they will never talk to you again!

I wouldn't buy from here again. Purchased a car for 18/19k, picked it up and found an empty box which obviously had contained suspension parts(first red flag!) whilst driving home noticed that wing mirror was faulty and had come away from the casing(flag 2!) in for first service cost of repairs. 6K! second service 4k with a further 10k of work required! Need I say more? Go to a big reputable dealer, you might pay more but at least you get decent warranties etc.

They promised to repair some damage as part of the sale. Damage was not repaired and they never responded to me after the sale. Just flat out ignored me.

Awful experience would not recommend to anyone. Put a £200 deposit down on a car and was in constant contact with on what was happening, before I put the deposit down, I was told the money can be released at any point if I ever changed my mind. I was also told that I can have as much time as I needed to decide if wanted to go ahead and purchase the car. I decided to go through motorway to sell my car which they recommended after they offered me more for my car. I was then contact by their finance company they used that someone turned and brought the car in cash. I then contacted them and was greeted with an awful phone call of someone not answering my questions. I called the next day to enquire about my deposit and was told it is nonrefundable. I was told that I took too long to purchase the car, I was given any time frame in which I needed to purchase the car, and I had not been responding to emails, which I had been. I was then told to call back when someone else was in the next day. Furthermore, I had been emailing them all day and had no response from them. I called up the next day and was told it was not his issue to be dealing with and will need to call back again when the other person was in at 11:30. I then called back at 12:00 just to be told they were going to be in at 13:00 now. I then said I will have to go through the bank to get my money back and was told to "do what you want bud.” Also, the car that I was willing to purchase is still available on the website and probably hasn't been sold. Would stay clear from the garage bunch of scammers.

Totally fabricated an untrue, you paid a part payment towards the car which was fully refundable should you not have succeeded with finance. We also did not ask for a part payment on site as in fact you offered to pay it yourself. Following on from this agreement you then tried to change the parameters overs 9 days waiting by advising you wanted to not px your car and we were held waiting for you to go to Motorways. Once you had found out the motorway price you then tried to further change the deal by asking for a reduction in the price of the vehicle... Whilst i appreciate your frustrations on this car you left us with no option when a customer came in off the street to purchase. I will add the car was taken off sale when you left the part payment and we turned down multiple customers, we then re advertised after 9 days . Good luck in your search for a new vehicle

Started making noise when driving home - next day went to local garage and asked them to check over and for peace of mind we asked them to give it a new MOT - IMMEDIATE FAIL AND DANGEROUS TO DRIVE. only a few days after purchase £10k we had a car we could not use and were not allowed to drive until new parts fitted. Cost £500!! Warranty supplied virtually worthless because it states they only pay up to £50 labour (inclusive of VAT!!) per hour and only market factor parts or secondhand/exchanged parts can be used not original - also most garages do not do warranty work because it takes months to receive the payment. So warranty not worth paper it’s written on. Very disappointed with whole buying process. I WOULD NOT recommend Bedford Car Centre! Stay well clear. We rang garage and they said they would take car in and assess but we decided against this because of the ‘cowboy’ set up at the garage. They pull black screens across the repair area so you cannot view what they are doing. I had a bad feeling about it on arrival and should have walked away but as they have AA approved car posters we thought we were buying a safe roadworthy inspected prior to purchase car. Quote from AA on AA garage approved cars - We thoroughly inspect each one before it can join our network to ensure it fully meets our quality, service and training standards. This means every garage is trustworthy and AA approved. What a joke. Steer clear.

Thank you for your review. To confirm some completely wrong and presumptuous points in your review. the warranty company like with every warranty company in the country have upper limits using the national database and when buying a second hand used car they will of course not cover main dealer prices for obvious reasons.. mainly you are buying a used car. The car also has had in your words some noise coming from the brakes and or top mounts, the Diagnostic/inspection that you had carried our 'noisy' it did not state any fault found just wear and noise. the bill of £1300 for exchangeable parts was more than BMW were charging and this was a local garage. We asked that you return the vehicle for a full inspection and anything we need to replace would be replaced at our cost and full parts list receipts and work carried out supplied along with a full report. we have been in business for over 10 years and sell on average 15 cars a week and you will see our rating on autotrader we have very positive feedback. In reference to the black screens across the back of the garage they are firstly a separate business to ourselves, they are also not a mechanics but in fact a spray booth and the reason they use black screens is du to the dust that comes out from the area and we do not want dust that enters our forecourt and onto our cars. you are more than welcome to visit this spray booth set up at any point to confirm this and i hope this suffices for your initial incorrect conclusion. We have tried to offer as solution to your issues and you have rang 4 times today (4 different family members i add....) and each time we have said we are more than willing to help but processes are processes that we adhere to fro the aa. Please also bare in mind the car had been mot'd just before purchase and none of these faults were there

This review doesnt refer to purchase of a bmw car so the comments below from BCC are somewhat confusing to say the least and no we have never rang 4 times using different numbers.

Avoid this trader, constant lies from seller, when you complain not willing to answer the phone, when eventually get in touch again hear lies, easy to take your money, hard to get them back from them. Car had issues, which they said gonna fix for new customer, but changed price for a little less and it was back on market day later with new cheaper price. That fix will cost you 1k, they reduced price for max 200£. So new buyers good luck you are buying car with issuess. Avoid this dealer at all cost!

they will try to steal your deposit if you do not want to buy from them and if you are unlucky to actually buy a car be ready for unpleasant surprises( or see other reviews here and avoid those scammers ). anonymous communication via email so you do not know who is responsible.

My experience of customer service and quality of car has been appalling, the majority of service and business which has been dealt with via WhatsApp messages which says a lot for their professionalism. After purchasing my new Audi with them on finance with Car Finance 247 the car was delivered to me with faults which included a faulty glow plug module, a faulty glow plug, front and rear discs and pads in need of replacement, stone chips galore and my "freshly refurbished rims" were covered in fallout, tar and one had a huge curb mark.. Not what you want when buying a new car!.. I contacted the dealership and was basically told - OK we'll take the car back, easier said than done, I had at this point already sold my old car and unwinding the deal and risking losing the finance was not an option, I needed the car I had purchased in working order, I was told the service reset light could be done at a back street garage or to look on YouTube, the curbed wheel would cost no more than £60 to have repaired. I was given £100.00 as a gesture of goodwill. It was then discovered this service light was actually an inspection light which means there was an issue with the car, nothing to do with oil service, well the issue was the faulty glow plug module and glow plug!.. So I brought the parts and fixed the car myself and forwarded the invoice for the parts to the dealer, who have since basically said they weren't made aware of any of the issues (they have been via my finance company) and aren't going to compensate me further for the considerable amount of money I've had to shell out on fixing it. You get nowhere with these guys if theres a problem, the customer service is honestly shocking. Just see some of the WhatsApp messages from them, it's laughable. They should not be allowed to trade in this way to people then refusing to accept responsibility other than offering to take the car back. If I could give them 0 stars I would.
