Saw a Vauxhall Astra online at Bellinger Vauxhall Wantage which looked good in the photos! Rang and spoke to salesman Jason. Stated I had a long journey 113 miles to view/buy the car and asked if there was any issues as I had a long journey, ‘No all good’ On arrival I immediately saw that the rear bumper had some crushing damage, the offside of the car had been completely resprayed and it had several large dents, one in the roof also! On opening the doors the car stunk of heavy smoke usage, the rear parcel shelf and boot area were extremely worn/fluffed up fabric as if the car had been used transporting dogs!! All this was pointed out to Jason and the buying manager who replied ‘I knew it smelt of smoke’ ‘We have a man who can sort the dents!’..he then disappeared back into his office leaving Jason to pick up the pieces!.. the impression this left was one of someone who wasn’t really interested on what had been pointed out! Now this car was well over priced at £12750 for a 3 year... even with its low 8000 miles!.. but I was willing to travel because of what I was told, it would of been better if someone was open and honest from the outset.. tell customers what the true conditions are and let them make their correct judgments! Had a look at the rest of the stock which looked similar! This was my experience of this Vauxhall dealership! Not impressed at all!
