Brought a car less than a week ago which was advertised on BMW website to have Sat Nav and parking sensors which I wanted. After I test drove the vehicle I asked the sales person if it has Sat Nav and rear and front parking sensors which I was advised that it has Sat Nav but only rear parking sensors. I agreed to accept and brought the vehicle but now found out that it does not have Sat Nav as I need a SD card which was not supplied and no parking sensors at all. They lie directly to your face as they want the sale which after contacting them they kept on saying that they could not guarantee the accuracy of the information on their website and I should have checked the vehicle prior to purchase. In my point of view if someone from the company advises the vehicle has something I trust that they should know as I have not got the experience to know that information. Also under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 products sold should meet standards like fit for purpose and as described which this was not and BMW do not seem to care I would not use this company if I were you
Why you should avoid big motoring world at all costs! Their adverts are not true listings for the actual cars you are buying but are for newer models! The manager confirmed this to me and said this is how all cars are sold across the industry. This is not true any previous cars I have bought have always had what was listed on the advert and not adverts for newer models of the car. Adverts are meant to be for the specific car that is being sold! Cars are not checked before selling and have potential safety issues! Their staff are rude and once they have your money they do not care. Zero customer service skills. Pay the little extra and go elsewhere for peace of mind. Read on for more details. To start with we made an appointment to go and view a car we found on auto trader. The car had everything we wanted and the price was good. We went to West malling and on arrival it was very busy. We was seen by someone after a 15 - 20 minute wait who said they are still with a customer and would we like to go and look round the cars and they would find us when they were finished. We agreed by this time it was about 7.00pm. About 7.30pm the salesman came and found us and we had decided to buy the car we originally found. We took it for a test drive (short drive) and all seemed fine. We went in to make the payment and listen to all the sales talk even though we expressed we wasn't interest and would not be buying any. After going through everything and watching videos we had to wait again for someone to come and take our payment. Finally we had to wait to see someone to tax the car. This is a very long winded process! After nearly 3 hours we was ready to go. We had to arrange to go back the next day to pick up the spare key and other paperwork as they are kept at a different sites. Which is ridiculous so two trips just for the car and than the paperwork and keys! On the drive home (around 20 miles away) the car seemed fine until we got on the motorway and there was a loud noise near the wheel. Due to the time we got home we had to wait until the morning. I took the car to a garage to be checked and they said it was the wheel bearing. They also said the break pads were below the legal limit. And a switch was broken inside the car. The car didn't come with any car mats either! I went home and rang BMW who tried to pass us off to the warranty company but we said no you will need to fix this. We had heard horror stories were people were sent to garages than the warranty wouldn't pay out and then they were left with huge bills. After a lot of back and forth the following week we arranged to drop the car off to Snodland, what we thought would just be with them for a day or two. On the drive down to them on the motorway again. The steering went on the car completely. I could not turn the wheel, I had my 9 month old baby with me and to say I was terrified was an understatement! I somehow managed to make the last bit of the trip with great difficulty. On arrival around 7.30pm we was greeted by a rude young man who said drop of were until 6.00pm and we would have to come back tomorrow morning. We had agreed with a manager prior to this that we could drop it off later due to our work commitments! Due to what had happened on the journey down there was no way I was driving the car back home and told him this was agreed and I'm leaving the car here. He seemed to be annoyed but agreed we could. There's no communication between staff at all. We asked him to inform someone of the steering problem. We called the next morning to informing them of the steering, surprise surprise the man hadn't passed the message on! They said all the work would be carried out and the steering problem was due to some part seizing up and would be changed. They had the car for a week! We had to keep calling for updates! When we got the car back it was dirtier than when we drop it off! A quick clean would of been a nice customer service touch as this is normally done as standard! On the advert for our car both online and the advert on the car window screen the car was listed as having DAB. This was a selling point for us as the signal were we live is not good. On checking the car didn't have this so I queried this with BMW the day after we bought the car. I was met with so many poor excuses, one was we should of checked before buying. My argument is both adverts stated it had and the salesman confirmed the car had. The second excuses was their adverts are generic and newer models have DAB. My argument is I haven't bought the newer model the model I bought was advertised as having it so I would expect the car to have it. After so many emails and calls going over the same thing and us still being blamed, even though their advert was incorrect they said they would fit an aftermarket unit. I declined this as I do not want another screen stuck to my dashboard. I paid £18,000 for a car that was advertised, confirmed and sold as having the DAB system so this is what should be offered. I contacted trading standards who advised that if the advert is advertised as having the DAB it should have it. Under the consumers rights act the car is not as described and this is now a breach of contract. They said BMW had 3 options. 1 - install what was advertised - they declined 2 - do I price reduction for the price of the unit - they declined 3 - reject and take the car back - they declined even though this is the law Consumer rights have forwarded this on to trading standards as they have had many similar complaints with BMW. I have also contacted watchdog. BMW have declined all the above so we will now have to seek legal action against them as they are breaking the law. My advice is don't go through what we have gone through with them. We made 5 round trips up to them in total. We did not receive one apology for any off the problems! They do not follow the rules or the law. I did read reviews on them before buying the car from trust pilot but check other review pages and that's why you will find out exactly what this company is like.

UPDATE: BMW agreed to refund my money and take the car back on the condition I remove all my reviews and sign a disclosure. I declined this offer as it is blackmail!

Avoid!!! Dear Sir/Madam I have had a terribly negative experience - if you were to put yourself in my place you would be able to see that I have most definitely not been treated fairly. I think it is fair to say that I have been misled and I was not told the truth. I would appreciate a phone call from the general manager to express how disappointed and upset I am at the way Big Motoring World has conducted this whole affair as I do not think anyone is going to take any notice of this email. I look forward to hearing from you.
Recently purchased a BMW 320d for a great price! Very impressed with the service I received throughout the whole process and even better that a 3 months free warranty was given. Look forward to returning next year to upgrade my husbands car. Highly recommend Big Motoring World in Addlington.

Good prices - fast process, nice staff.
My experience of Big Motoring World (Addlington Branch) was disappointing. After being let down 3 times I decided to go elsewhere. I bought a used car from the main Mercedes dealer. I paid a few thousand more but got a better car with lower mileage, which had been properly inspected and prepared. It came with a proper warranty and breakdown cover. They were happy to have my custom, did not let me down, providing a pleasant experience.

Very impressed with the set up and how knowledgeable the staff were about the cars and the features. I'm very pleased with my new Merc and I will be coming back to use these guys in the future!
Had a quote regarding my px car and they offered me on phone £1000. Next day I driven 40 miles just to find out: My car now £500 as a px The car I'd like to get not in the location and had to wait 1 hour but still not shown They not even bothered to offer you a deal to suit your budget or some another cheaper car Felt really rushed Not what I was expected as a customer service. Not even close. So if this is how they treat customers before they have made a sale I can only imagine the poor quality of aftersale.

I was going to pop in here on the way home from work, because I need a new car and the West Malling site is right on my route. However, after reading the reviews on here and the surprising lack of response from the company I think I'll go somewhere else. I hate the thought of having problems after paying out so much money. The main reason is the obvious lack of customer service....not even a short response or a defence to all these negative experiences!!?
I have been looking for a new car for the past month and so have been checking big motoring workds prices daily. On thursday before black Friday i noticed that a lot of the cars went up in price. Some increased by £1500. And then i received a text from them saying to come down for black Friday deals. I called up on the thursday and enquired about this as it is misleading and was told to come down and i would be given the original prices. Long story short, i went down there and they didnt offer me the original prices, i spoke to 2 managers. One of which was very rude and dismissive. The other didnt help at all. I could have bought the car but out of principle i decided to leave as i didnt see why i should pay extra money when the cars should be on discount. Not helpful and not trust-worthy. Would not reccommend this branch of the Big Motoring Workd at all.
If I could I would give 0 (-ZERO) star rating. I bought a car about year ago, I was so happy about the service I received on a day.I also been offered to buy Insurance to protect ALL mechanical and electrical faults in case something happens(OF COURSE I added it for a piece of mind) On a day when I bought car I was told that car has ALL service history and that will be send together with v5 by post to me. In few months time I had to go on holiday,but car papers still not been received.Been calling them EVERY day about that and explaning same situation to different person and all they could say to me: "WE WILL GET BACK TO YOU" (witch they never did) So at the end I had to get new V5 from DVLA by myself,still haven't received service history as they refused to talk to me at ALL. After all this situation about paperwork around few months later I find out that my car has a problem (Loss of power) Straight away I contacted my insurance provider to ask what to do next and they advised me to find local garage(They said not to go to BMW centre as it will be expensive)where they could check the problem. Booked appointment for car check,after its been checked I received a call from them that is timing chain problem(£2k to fix it) and car was not covered by insurance because it only covers my car up to 80k BUT MY CAR WAS BOUGHT WITH 77K ON THE CLOCK AND WAS NEVER MENTIONED THAT INSURANCE WILL COVER ONLY UP TO 80K!!! At that point I realised that i have to fix my car from my own pocket. Decided to double check the problem with BMW centre and make diagnostic there before fixing car.After diagnostic I find out that problem was Egr and some pipes which they fixed.So Now I lost over 1k and all money I payed for 1year insurance. BE CAUTIOUS AVOID THIS PLACE HIGHTLY NOT RECOMMENDED !!!!
