Brought a mazda cx5 from them in December 24 broke down I had no car for Christmas in for repair for three months got it back end of March broken down again tryed to give the car back today and the salesman was not having any of it he said a couple of weeks ago that he would extend the warranty because of all the trouble I had then today he lied to me and said he never said it and said the car was out of warranty so take us to court also when it came back the brakes were making a grinding noise so I call the salesman he said take it in and get them done when I picked the car up I had to pay for the repairs £235 how did it pass a MOT with brakes like that so know I have a car I can't use what a disgusting company this is don't buy a car from them

Bought from this company and immediately had problem with car. They took it back in for warranty repair. The repair caused further problems. And as soon as as out of warranty the have been nothing but unhelpful. Not even helping me acquire paperwork to sell car on. Overall from purchase to now car has been a nightmare and service has been dire. I’d avoid.
I was a customer of BJH a while ago ( first time). Spent £8000 on a vehicle (2012 plate). The vehicle was in limp mode for the test drive which, for me, i wasn't too concerned about as i am used fixing vehicles and could see the problem could be sorted easily. So, a deal was struck and on the provision that the turbo actuator was sorted i would take the car away. This was fixed and i drove the car away. Now, this vehicles comes with the fabulous warranties 3000 safety net.... its crap.. but anyway after daily driving for a short while the vehicle developed a dangerous fault ! It would suddenly drop all power and it was if the brakes had been slammed on for no reason whatsoever ! ..this happened on a motorway on one occasion nearly causing an accident! I was also experiencing severe hesitation when pulling away from junctions, again, dangerous. Upon investigation it was found to have a faulty MAF sensor ( fair enough) and damaged wiring to the fuel temp sensor hmm.. upon further digging i find bolts missing from the turbo housing allowing gasses to leak out, a downpipe bodged with seal and a bodged coolant return pipe from the expansion tank. So, the story continues, i then experience a breakdown traced to a completely shot crank pully ( had been going for a while) which led to snapped belt and water pump gone. Ok, by this point i am getting a bit annoyed! More so that someone had snapped the tensioner pulley bolt so couldnt replace the belt easily! So, this time it went into an Audi specialist ( due to my time constraints) who, was somewhat concerned as to who had worked on the vehicle previously .... so it was missing undertrays...ok happens as it is a 12 year old car ...but the brace bars aswell ? ! So, that has been bought and replaced as well! Cheers bjh....now, this car should have gone back ( silly me) but i am just about on top of the jobs that your " 25 years experienced mechanic" doesn't seem to have noticed. I completely understand there are business margins but this car very nearly caused an accident amongst other faults. I am not a fan of leaving negative reviews but i am afraid this vehicle could have bitten you hard if it had been sold to someone less mechanically minded.

Mark in response to Bit hit and miss !
Update: so the turbo actuator has let go ...professional opinio n is that the actuator has been chewed up twice (bjh replaced the first at point of sale) due to faulty turbo.... its the gift that keeps giving this car.. .. BJH had replaced the actuator at Audi apparently. To set the record straight this is an older car and cars go wrong but, everything that has gone wrong has been due to bodges..........
Wife bought a Volvo V40 from BJH and the transaction was quick easy friendly and painless We weren’t pushed into buying and Harry was Fun to deal with Unfortunately the Volvo quickly developed a problem with the clutch. We contacted BJH and was told not to worry. Get the car to a local garage and get the garage to contact them. After sales was excellent The Volvo was repaired and everybody is happy. Things can happen but it’s how things are dealt with that makes the difference and I have to clearly state that BJH did everything in their power to make Sure we were happy. That , to me, is what makes them a garage I would return to when I want to change my car. Thank you for your sale and your service. You could not of seen the problem but did everything to sort it

Viewed an Audi a3 back in November, couple of scuffs on 2 alloys and was concerned about the timing belt when it was last changed, promised the timing belt would be changed and the alloys would be sorted.. and they was. Car was spot less inside and out and they even filled the tank up half way for the journey home. As well as giving me new mats for the car.. can’t fault the service I received.

People always tell you to read the reviews first before buying a car… well I should of listen to them as the one stars are Totally right… Friend staff who promise they get everything sorted, over 3 weeks later and drive over 4 hours,m to collect the car, which they had already sign over to me on the V5, but still had same problem less then 20 mins of leaving the garage. When ask for a break down of what’s been done they could say and said what ever the mechanics have touched the fixed.. One thing they are good at is pushing the warranty, the words don’t ring us if it goes wrong just ring the warranty number… the warranty they offer isnt worth the paper it’s write on.. Disappointing for a family business…. Becareful

Recently purchased our 4th Car with BJH motors, great sales and after sales service. I like to change cars every 12 months due to heavy business mileage, hence 4th car, and it won’t be long before I’m looking for another part exchange deal
