I strongly DO NOT recommend Braintree Van Sales for purchasing any van or vehicle. My experience with them has been extremely disappointing, and I believe others should be aware of their practices. I bought a van that was advertised as being thoroughly inspected through their “117-point check by approved garages,” but in reality, it was not inspected at all. The vehicle was delivered with less than 5 months of MOT, even though reputable dealers typically provide at least 6 months. From the first day, it had serious mechanical issues: oil and fuel leaks, pressure sensor faults, loose bolts under the engine, and more. They took the van back to “fix” the problems, and kept it for 4 weeks, during which I was paying finance without being able to use the vehicle for even a single day. The person in charge of van sales became impossible to reach—every time I called with concerns, he would say he was too busy with other clients and promised to call back, but never did. At best, I would receive a message at the end of the day saying he was “busy all day.” So once they sell you the van, you’re basically on your own. Even after 4 weeks in their workshop, the van came back with unresolved issues, including a noisy timing kit which they admitted makes noise, but claimed it doesn’t need replacing—clearly to save money at my expense. Avoid this dealer. It’s not worth the risk, the time, or the stress.

Hi George Necsoi Thank you for your review and the 1star rating thats fine you have every right to leave your opinion for everyone to see. here at Braintree van sales we don't hide anything what so ever and we have repeat customers that come back time and time again. but I have taken your feedback on board but i'm going to have to defend myself and the business. I hold my hands up and say the mistake that I made was I let the van go with just over 5 months MOT. and I apologise to you on a number of occasions and I said that I would have put a full years MOT on it for you if you took it to a garage near you I had no problem with that what so ever it was a genuine mistake on my part and only my part not my team it was myself NICK. ok now on to the matter in hand when you come to collect your vehicle. the van was parked on our work bay which is concrete and it was there for over 24 hours once it was valeted. my point is this you and your friend come here and you spent over an hour going over the vehicle with the bonnet up and looking under the vehicle. there was no sign of fuel or oil leaks as it would have shown on the work bay. you when over the van with a friend and then you said you was very happy with the vehicle and then you left happy. I then heard from you a day later with an Engine light on the dash I apologised for this and asked that you would get a diagnosis done on the vehicle and we would cover the cost which we did and then you send me a long list of issues that you found that was over £2,000 inches explained to you that we wouldn't authorise this much and we would need to have the vehicle back for us to be able to complete the work. you was very unhappy with this and I explained to you that we have the opportunity to fix the problem. you then took you complete to the finance company that also told you that we have the opportunity to fix you then still was not happy so I arranged for a driver to come and collect the vehicle from you and return it to us AGAIN you wasn't happy and demanded I sent you personal information about the driver before you hand the vehicle over which again I was okay with that and did all you ask, then you started to slander our business by saying we have paid for reviews and the reviews was fake in which this really upset me because me and my team have work very hard to build our reviews up and the lovely reviews from our customers have been off there own back on how there experience with Braintree van sales played out. lastly we sorted all the issues that we found wrong with the van and we then put it in for MOT and also a full health check which all passed with no problems. we then delivered the vehicle back to you and you had message me and said everything is fine with the van and thanks you this was on the 2nd April 2025 I then didn't get a message from you till the 18th April 2025 thats over 2 weeks in which you said the timing chain was noisy and it was like this at the start I then explained that this was looked over and health check and it was all passed. and then I find out that you have left this review and I think it is very unfair and damaging to myself and my team. I considered having this feedback removed because it isn't fully the case and upsetting but I have decided ill leave this review here as we don't hide problems that we come up against and ill let people make there own judgement. I would personally like to apologise that you feel you have been let down by myself. and as a gesture of goodwill I would like to send you a gift voucher so if you want to send me where you would like this voucher for (with in reason) ill get this to you again George I apologise and I wish you all the best kindest regards Nick & Braintree van sales team

Terrible experience. Called these guys on Thursday to arrange a test drive for Saturday. No problems they said. I called them up this morning Saturday 27/01 to make sure that the car is still available. It took 5 attempts over 15 minutes for someone to answer the phone but eventually someone answered and said yes it's still available. I told them I'm coming 125 miles away see you in a couple of hours. I got there and the place was closed and borded up. Rang up again and explained. They said they have two sites he'll send someone down. Not once was it mentioned that they have two different places. While I was waiting another customer was there unaware that there was two places. So I wait for about 20 minutes and someone not from this country pulls up in a van wearing dirty tracky bottoms and a dirty hi vis coat looking like a tramp. Didn't even say hello just opened the shutter and handed me the key to the car. I squeezed myself in as the car was parked tight next to two vans and on trying to start up it just kept chugging away and would not start. There was no bars on the fuel gauge and a message on the dash saying soot filter full and service required. Wasted my time and money on diesel on a 250 mile round trip. I was prepared to hand over money today. This is such and unprofessional dealership that you should all stay away from.
