Don’t waste your time or money with budgen motors!! They accuse customers of lying, ignore any emails, calls and customers in person, lie about the cars milage on paperwork and will refuse to fix your car even though it’s under warranty. ETC. The list is endless. I wish i could give them 0 stars
New Peugeot 108 in you g driver lease deal some 13 months ago purchased so that my son can have a safe reliable car to go around d in and get him to and from work as reliable as he can, Ordered a red one, but told that it could not arrive as it was damaged in the car transporter en route!!! He was offered same car , but a metallic blue model with a couple of extras instead, which was in showroom. Because of time restraints, he accepted the vehicle. Asked for evidence of this, but no information forthcoming. The car is now in its 14th month, and has broken down 4 times, everytime with the same problem, when it refuses to start normally out during a journey, when he stops somewhere. Each time the RAC have diagnosed a flat battery, which is because if you put jump leads on, it starts. The car is under a three year lease deal with servicing included. It has been back to Budgens to be diagnosed in each occasion, and they say no fault found. Inconvenience for my son, but he has gone along with until it broke down early last week. Again my son was inconvenienced, and indeed the same RAC man came out to sort the problem, which again was a battery issue. I got involved and arranged for the vehicle to go back to Budgens last Friday, and was duly delivered by my son at 0945 as agreed. I had arranged for him with service reception that the car would not come back until a proper diagnosis had been carried out, and he would have a courtesy car until this time. Upon a phone call at 1645 on Friday, Crystal from Budgen Motors was on the phone, asking my son to bring the courtesy car back, but his car was not ready!! This would of inconvenienced my son again, and his mother took over the phone call, and was told that my sons car was not ready, it needed a battery, which my son has to pay for, and if he does not bring the other car back, then they will report the vehicle stolen to the police!! Customer service at its finest Budgen Motors, Shrewsbury, You really know how to look after your customers, and through your actions, Peugeot UK will now get involved. One very distressed customer now, and financially out of pocket, and you threaten to call the police.... You ouldnt get it right with the order, and you seem unwilling to sort your product out with its issues...... My other son needs a car as well now, and it definitely won't be from Budgen Motors in Shrewbury.
picked up my new car from the dealership on 24th jan , all looked fine and i was happy , two weeks later scratches appeared on the bonnet after the first wash ,,,,so dealership covered them up with something , very worrying , sent photos to the dealership , they did not want to know , the sales manager the salesman done this to me , this criminal activity is not good for renault or me or its customers ,,, spoke to renault uk , they do not care as they have sold a car and got my money ,,,,,,,budgen motors and renault should not do this to its customers ,,,,,,this sort of activity must stop , ripping off customers ,,,,
To start at the very beginning I phoned the Motability person at Budgens Shrewsbury, and spoke to a young lady called Tanya Locker even on the phone she was very helpful, polite and friendly which put me at ease straight away, made me an appointment to visit Budgens to go to see a Vehicle on the Motability Scheme, Tanya was such an expert at her job nothing was too much trouble for her, she showed me a couple of cars and knew everything about them very professional anyway we decided on which vehicle we would like and Tanya even drove it down to our house for us to try it out for my mobility scooter also gave me a test drive, everything went swimmingly, by the end of our test drive we had made our mind up. We gave Tanya the vehicle engine size and colour of vehicle plus trim colour we wanted and within 2-3 days she got back to us and said all sorted we have even received the P.I.N. number to collect the car. Since 1999 we have had a Vehicle on the Mobility Scheme and Tanya is by far the most pleasant polite helpful and down to earth person we have ever had the pleasure to deal with. I am amazed by some of the reviews I have read on here. I cannot fault Budgen Motors for the quality of service and customer care. It took me over two months from going into the dealership to decide on a car and to buy it. In that time Colin was supportive, not at all pushy and listened to what I was saying to him. The result, he contacted me with a perfect match and the rest is history. The team accommodated all my needs and have provided me with a car I love, at an extremely competitive price, at very low hassle. I will definitely go back to them in the future and have opted to have my servicing done through them with a direct debit service plan. I have avoided buying from dealerships in the past because I have felt under pressure and mis-sold products I did not need or could get cheaper elsewhere. This experience has completely changed that. bought a car from bugden used car centre at christmas.very polite and helpful give them your money then they dont wanna no.had mot and its gonna cost 500 to fix problems rang about warrenty 8 times and they nvr ring back.asked about a car to help me as i have work he said no cars for 2 weeks.didnt want to help at all.and couldnt give me any answers just a waste of time warrenty means nothing and they dont give a shix.so i live telford and there shrewsbury.so prob cheaper just to pay mot people in the long run i will never use again.
I brought a car from Budgen Motors last summer. Unfortunately whenever people have asked me about Budgen Motors I've just advised to stay well away. I had a salesman called Todd who handled the sale. He answered all questions and made a list of additions and assurances at first but as soon as I paid for the car the service went downhill from there. He became increasingly distant and had to resort to talking via email to confirm details of the handover and he arranged a date when he wasn't working for me to pick up the vehicle. I'll add a list of the issues I encountered that Todd had promised he would ensure were done: - The car had not been professionally cleaned as promised, other than a 5 min wash with a hose (indoors had stains on the seat and dust and the exterior still had some dirt on it) -The spare wheel I had brought hadn't been installed or ordered. I was assured this had been done the day before I went to pick it up. -Insurance to drive the car out of the forecourt hadn't been setup. I was entitled to 7 days insurance with the car I had brought but this wasn't setup which required a very rushed last minute call by another salesman to get this done. -No petrol had been put in the tank despite one of my terms of purchase had been a full tank. And to top it off the documents that they fill in during the handover hadn't been completed meaning the car hadn't been carefully checked to make sure it was ready for handover (this had consequences meaning I had issues days after purchase and only got sorted when I took it to another Renault garage as budgen motors didn't actually fix the problem when I took it back. That however is another horror story. You hear about shady car dealers and pray you never get one. I went to a Renault dealership to try and avoid bad service but sadly I have nothing good to say about them. I do believe my age and forgiving attitude meant that I wasn't taken seriously and they had no problem with delaying and outright lying to me. I will never visit this place again and wouldn't dare let them near my car again. Save yourself some serious hassle and find another dealership.
Very friendly and professional at Budgen Used Car Centre which made buying my new car an easy process.... I called the show room this morning and a gentleman called Sam O, turned my request around within four hours, I left the showroom with my car at 6PM “Ding-dong!” Brilliant service and would highly recommend Budgion however I do feel that the staff uniform needs adapting, you should consider ditching the shirt and bow-tie... Recently purchased a vehicle from Budgen Used Centre, had a couple of problems, called left messages but never had a return call. Even asked if they would get their Group Sales Director to call me........nothing. When it's not good at the top it get worse lower down.
Having had a problem with our Renault captur we spoke to service reception to ask would the car be alright to drive into them, the response astounded me it is up to you !!!!!!!! Most helpful NOT so didn't get any sense out of them at all and the car is still under warranty so I think it is up to them to sort the vehicle out. Customer service NIL. Also sent a complaint to the managing director no response Lead. by example!! Answers everything.So in the end spoke to another Renault Dealer in Llandudno Junction who couldn't have been more helpful car in next day and put right. Budgen Motors could learn a lot about customer care from this company. There so many dealers out there wanting your business so avoid budgen
