Just bought a car from Burton Bradstock Cars, - the service was excellent and the car was just what I was looking for. The car stock was good quality and garage manager/owner was very helpful; no sales pressure; the purchase was smooth and the car was presented fully checked and serviced. It was my first purchase at the garage and I would go back.

Bought a car from Raj on the understanding that he would order a spare key and repair seatbelt casing which broke as I was driving away. Before I even got the spare parts, they had filled in the log book with the wrong address for me. Luckily the person who received it contacted the garage and I was able to go and pick it up, but I then had to send it off to change it. The spare part arrived and was quite surprised to see it was second hand part and quite dirty. Booked it in at my local garage to have it installed as agreed with Raj, only to find out after they’d taken the seat out that it was the wrong part. Contacted Burton Bradstock again and they agreed to send out the correct part and spare key, didn’t hear anything from them so started ringing them once or twice a week and speaking to Raj. Was told that he was having difficulty finding the part which seemed strange as he is in the motor trade. Never received a return call or email and always had to ring him to see what was going on, I presume they were hoping I would give up and forget about it. Finally after 9 weeks of trying to get them to sort it he agreed that if I got a quote from BMW he would pay for the parts and fitting, after another 4 weeks of phone calls and emails we finally got it booked into BMW to have it fitted as agreed with Raj. He then told me he would not be paying for any labour as the BMW part was more expensive then he anticipated even though I had paid extra for the top warranty. The only choice he gave me was to take it back to the Burton Bradstock garage to have it fitted which is inconvenient for me as it was a long way away. I offered to collect the part from BMW and then get it fitted at my local garage for 1/3 of the price and he refused to pay that as well. If there had been no problems with the car I would have given them a 5 star review as the test drive and sales pitch was very good which I presume is how they get their good reviews, however as soon as they had my money their attitude totally changed, this is the first car I’ve ever bought and the customer service and after sales is absolutely awful.
