Went to view a car that wasnt on the forecourt, promised me videos of the car when they got it from the compound but didnt send them as agreed. - I had to chase for the videos which took days - went to buy the car and had to witness a debate between staff members about the cost of the car when I decided not to part exchange my car - I was told the gears had been fixed but as I drove home struggled to get it in gear and the car had a clunking noise - returned the car the following day and was given an inappropriate, dirty grimy courtesy car - total lack of communication- often took several emails to get a response and their response didnt actually answer my queries! They couldnt tell me if the repairs they did had been in relation to the faults I had raised or something different - car didnt have something that advert said it had and they changed their mind that it did have it then it didnt, then theyd fit it - I felt i had no trust or faith in the car or the garage so decided to reject the car but was told that i needed to pay £349 admin fee and what was meant to took 3-5 days took well over a week for them to male a decision The only positive was that I have now got a full refund for a car I couldnt trust and no longer have to deal with the garage again

Bought a car 1 yr ago, been nothing but trouble from the moment we bought it. They messed up owing us money first, messed the finance they should if paid off! To the point I had to threaten legal action! The car should not have been sold it wasn’t in any fit state! Failed it’s 1st mot, cost us £££ since the mot.
Sold a car with a faulty head gasket and coolant system. Refused to offer a refund, had our car for over 8 weeks to repair it but some faults still remain. Have spent hundreds and hundreds on diagnostics, towing costs, repairs and insurance on another vehicle as was offered no courtesy car in the two months then had my vehicle. Don’t return calls when promised, have never had a single call from the manager, car still faulty, refusing to issue a refund or to reimburse for costs so have had to file a claim with the courts. We refuse to go away until a resolution has been reached. They should not be allowed to continue trading given that these reviews show this is very clearly not a one off experience. I was heavily pregnant when I purchased the vehicle, now have three children and the faults with the vehicle were serious rendering it unsafe to drive. Car City don’t appear to care about their reputation, the vehicles they sell or even more worryingly, the safety of their customers. Absolutely despicable.

Amazing service, greeted by a great young man by the name of Ryan who really knows his stuff. Very attentive, professional and supportive, really went out of his way to make sure I was comfortable but at the same time did not pressure me into buying the car, allowed me to make my own decision which I thought was really nice. Drove all the way from London, would definitely recommend to all my friends and family. A+++++++++
I paid £100 refundable deposit and due to some issues coming up, i couldnt go to see the car, tried contacting them 100 times to have my deposit refunded as i live in london, they kept telling me there is no manager here and they will call me back, different excuse every time and never managed to get my money back. So untrustworthy
Very quick to take my deposit,chased them for the car,,waiting and more waiting. Asked for refund on deposit,won't give it back and now won't answer any calls or emails. Waste of time

After buying this vehicle from a so called reputable dealer what a massive mistake we have made. Paid for the cambelt to be replaced before collection. All seemed fine until on the way home when water level warnings started to show as well as other warning lights on the dash. We were told that the battery had gone flat during first covid lockdown and this was the cause and would rectify itself when the vehicle was running for a while. Absolutely not the case. Warning lights still on and cost £138 for new battery. After booking the car in for a service and further inspection ABSOLUTELY NOTHING WAS PUT BACK TOGETHER BY THE SO CALLED MECHANIC. STILL GOT BITS AND PIECES LYING EVERYWHERE ON TOP OF ENGINE UNDERGUARD. NEEDS 3LTRS OF WATER PER DAY AND NOT BEEN USED FOR LAST 2 MONTHS. CUSTOMER SERVICE IS ABSOLUTELY SHOCKING AND THEY DON'T WANT TO KNOW. BE WELL AWARE OF BUYING A VEHICLE FROM THIS DEALER. PLEASE DONT END UP LIKE US HAVING TO GET TRADING STANDARDS INVOLVED. STEER WELL CLEAR OF THIS COMPANY. THIS REVIEW IS OF OUR OWN PERSONAL EXPERIENCE AND NOT MEANT TO BE DEROGATORY

Terrible customer service and response if there is a problem with your car. Quick to take your money, horrendous to get hold of if there is a problem.. Warranty promised was not set up with autoguard as promised so was bogus. Had a nightmare getting my money back after car they sold me had an immediate fault despite passing an MOT!!! A few days earlier. Avoid at all costs!!!
Guys listen to me and take my advice Before anyone take it and BUY for any Vehicle from Car City Peterborough PLEASE be care full when you want to get a Car finance don't pay a deposit before you can check a car different car service and you should care full a Finance .PLEASE LIVE THEM BOTH ..DONT BUY FROM THEM NOTHING...….we can prove what we said take than already to the Ombudsman
