Avoid at all cost!!! I purchased a vehicle in February 2024 in Bristol branch. Not only I was kept there for 9 hours, but I was also mis sold a warranty that I didn't need. The sales person lied to me saying that the Kia I have purchased has a 3 year warranty and tricked me into purchasing extended warranty that I didn't need, as I am covered with Kia for 7 years!!! Absolutely outrages. He also added other warranties to my finance that I didn't consent to, like paint and upholstery worth £349 and also charged me £250 for their members club, without my consent. These people are fraudsters!!!! They are now refusing to remove this from my finance!! Avoid at all cost. Horrible experience. Once they take your money that's it. There is no post sale customer support. The manager is absolutely useless, unreachable and unhelpful. The complaints are not being sorted. Horrible people.

I'm now on my third Carbase car and until now I've always been pleased with the service I've received. I've just changed my car and the replacement has some minor issues which I am trying to report to their after sales or auto center but alas this is proving to be impossible. I phone the number given and they just done answer. How long are you supposed to wait on hold? I've waited for 45 minutes or more on several occasions only to hang up and instantly receive a text message. I've even responded to the text message for which I had a few responses telling me they'd logged the issue and would contact me but that's now all stopped too. I'm not even sure the phone number they give for their auto center or after sales is manned as it goes straight to recorded messages without even ringing. I've now tried to book an appointment online and also filled a complaints form in so lets see where this goes.

All the people I dealt with were very helpful and not pushy at all. Everyone explained the process clearly and asked if I had questions. However, it was towards the end of a tiring day and I did feel a bit rushed . There was a lot of paperwork to get through and lots of information to process about my totally new car. Also, I understand that the salesmen ( and it was men) have to try to sell the extra cover available but I didn’t want it and still had to sit through the spiel.

non pushy salesmen was a bonus. car was as described, clean and ready to go. £99.00 holding deposit was refunded in a quick and timely manner. only criticism was the time it took to complete the paperwork, bit long winded. would buy again from them. decent showroom and facilities - huge range of nice stock

Ripped off of 15 K ‘ despite Paint Protection pack & 3 year extended warranty. Vehicle developed flaking paint issue & now failed auto gearbox - NIL response despite repeated efforts. Awful company

I bought a Shogun Sport. One of the main reasons i went to Carbase was that the car was advertised as RAC approved. Despite this there were a number of issues with my car which Carbase have not resolved. 1. The DAB radio does not work and the local Mitsubishi dealer says it needs replacing. 2. The service book was not updated (When pointed out this was done when the car was bought) However it tranpired that the service interval indicator was not reset. Clearly this raises concerns about the quality of the inspection service by Carbase. Initially Carbase asked me to take the car to a local dealer to advise on the above issues. This was done and Carbase emailed on 25th August. No reply was received so a reminder email was sent 5th September. Still no reply. In addition a specific question I asked was about any remaining manufacturer's warranty. I was told there was none. This transpired not the be the case. Indeed there is a years warranty left. I was however offered a Carbase warranty (at extra cost). This had to be taken out at the time of purchase. My final concern is that the tyres on the front axle are different tread patterns. I know this is not illegal but is not good practice. This issue has been raised with the RAC and I await their response.

Having spent over 5 hours of back and forth on paperwork and all the 'must have' add on's we eventually went to drive off but the warning light came on for reduced pressure in a tyre. I raised this at the time and they took it away and said they had inflated it and it would be fine. the warning light went out but came back on again the next day. Having checked the tyre myself there was a nail in it so i replaced the tyre BUT Carbase have stopped responding to any mails. I did have some initial correspondence but that went quiet and despite now sending numerous mails to the complaints mail address no reply. I paid for all the extras that are supposed to cover off these issues but the fact they were happy enough to send me away with a car with a nail in the tyre is poor at best!!. My last mail i told them if i didnt hear back i would put a review online but again silence. My advice....... avoid this company.

Dreadful problems with the car, difficult to speak to anyone, useless repairs and the worst company I have ever dealt with, although individual staff are fine.
