I bought a Jaguar XF 2016 from Danny at chrome motors. I had problems with an engine management light but throughout the whole process of repair communications were open and honest. Danny had the car booked into a Jaguar specialist so I knew it was going to be looked at properly. In the end an agreement was made and I returned the car stress free. Would certainly buy from them again

I bought A car unseen just as per photos stupidly assuming any faults would be flagged up.I trusted the site due to the awards and being a family business . i had very quick responses to buying the car and only one from faults after receiving the car .It has Numerous unmentioned cosmetic flaws. After market parts. Immediately needs £100s of pounds of exhaust to make it drivable . not impressed and wish id seen that they are the worst in Macelsfield before buying .

I paid a deposit and agreed to have a Navara truck delivered as I was unable to drive due to a back problem. I asked a range of questions regarding the condition of the vehicle and got assurances that they look over all their vehicles prior to sale and that 'all was good to go'. Even when the vehicle was delivered and I raised concerns, They were quick to agree to how they would resolve the matter if it turned out to be an issue. Needless to say it was and issue, even though they assured me he drove the vehicle the same morning and all was working. WRONG! With 3 separate problems it could not possibly have worked in the morning! The great shock came when I had the vehicle serviced. The chassis has a large rust hole in it and 2 garages confirmed the truck was definitely unroadworthy. All my contacts with them in the past 1.5 months came to nothing. A single email that promised to respond to me two days later didn't happen. If you want to buy from these guys, have the car checked out before you do because they have not qualms about their dishonesty. My total repair bill will be 60% of the purchase price! If only I had seen this site before I would never have bought from them. I should have known better.

I ignored the bad reviews and bought a car from them!!! Don’t do what I did I regret it so much they are the rudest arrogant people who simply ignore you once they have the money Absolutely apauling. I’m not entirely sure where the 5 star rating comes from on auto trader as everywhere else online carries 1 star for this shambles of a car dealer. I purchased a Jaguar from him and once he had the money in full we was just waiting on delivery. I had so much trouble getting it delivered as he just ignored all calls and texts after he got paid in full.delivery was finally arranged for Tuesday 12-1pm . I left work and got home and at 11:50 he text me to say he’s no delivering it I must pick it up at the weekend. Very angry with this I called and text no answer so I cancelled the agreement and only then did he cooperate and rearrange for Wednesday, I took the full day off Wednesday and he then at 12 pm asked me to meet him several hours from my home on the M1 if not he can’t deliver it so again I cancelled the finance and got them to unwind and only then did he give me a delivery time of 4pm. He is rude, obnoxious and a con artist

BEWARE! The 6 month warranty is not worth the paper it’s printed on. This was my first and last time buying from a used car dealer. After always buying new or private I decided to purchase a vehicle from CHROME MOTORS I purchased a 7 year old Mercedes Benz which was in ok condition but needed a bit of TLC in certain areas to bring it back up to a good standard. After a test drive I decided to go ahead with the purchase as the car drove very well and I believed it’s imperfections were only cosmetic. 14 days in to owning the vehicle the list of problems was growing and it had now become major. From the steering rack knocking on full lock to the ECO mode not working now the clutch and dual mass flywheel had failed. Cost to repair in excess of £1250, no problem I believed I had 6 months warranty so would at least get some of this covered. This was not the case. After speaking to the clutch specialist at the repair garage they informed me the warranty would not cover this work and reminded me of the Consumer Rights Act which basically meant I was covered for the first 30 days of ownership and that I can return the vehicle to CHROME MOTORS for a full refund or they can repair the vehicle. I made the phone call to them to see what we could do regarding this issue with the warranty. To say he was unhappy that the garage had reminded me of my Consumers Rights was an understatement. They seemed to believe that this act did not apply to him and then like before I had purchased the car began to talk the talk and promise the world. “ I will sort this for you, leave it with me”. He never replied to any of my attempts to contact him from then on. NEVER AGAIN!

Awful experience dealing with Chrome Motors. Left a deposit in good faith on a silver JEEP Grand Cherokee Overland. There is a serious problem with the transmission on this vehicle. No chance of seeing a return of our deposit despite the serious fault.
