Never ever give your Car for service/repair at Citygate VW showroom High Wycombe if you care about your car and safety of you and your family. One would expect a highly professional and excellent workmanship and customer service from an authorised service dealer for a premium model like Volkswagon. But to my dismay, I experienced an appalling and rude customer service and workmanship that you cannot imagine. I had to take my car to VW authorised dealer and service firm Citygate High Wycombe due to a rear flat tyre and rim damage after running over a pothole. Chronology of the events as below On 25th Jan 2018 night my car ran over a pothole. Called AA on road assistance and changed the wheels with spare in the boot. AA mechanic advised to check rim as well, as it is slightly bent. On 1st of Feb 2018, gave my car to Citygate VW High Wycombe to replace the tyre and seeks advice on the rim damage and check for any other issues or impacts due to the incident. Citygate changed the tyre and advised that there is indeed a stress (visible) on the rim and should not be used as a main tyre but can only be used as a spare wheel and assured that the present 4 wheels have no problem and the wheel with the stressed rim has now been kept as spare wheel in the boot. I was advised that while using the tyre the speed must not exceed 50 mph. They also did health check and reported to me that everything is fine. After that, the ride on the car was not smooth and the car started to give rattling sounds and tyre pressure warning. The noise and shocks to the cabin and steering wheel were very much evident. This was very worrying for me as I do an average of 350 miles on Motorway a week with my family consisting two little kids. On 15 Feb I called them to explain the problem and they were so reluctant and rude in listening to my concern. After explaining for a longtime about the stress and insecurity these issues are causing while drive, they agreed to inspect the vehicle again with a very difficult attitude. After their first spot inspection, they said that they don't find any issues with the wheels. But as I kept insisting, they took the car back to rear workshop. After a while the workshop mechanic (not service adviser) came back saying that "Everything is fixed now". Even though I was anticipating something wrong, I was really surprised and confused. I asked the mechanic, "What was wrong with my car and where is the service adviser, who took my car's key?". Mechanic explained, the mistake was that they had not changed the stressed wheel as spares rather I was driving using the same stressed wheel which they had advised not to use as the main wheel, on motorways with my entire family, putting all our life in danger !. The staffs at Citygate were so unprofessional, rude and ill mannered that they were not even ready to accept and apologize the mistake they had done and all they were saying was that "Everything is fixed now". The service adviser says, they are not responsible for what workshop mechanics are doing !! And "if you want to escalate the issue, do it and show it". So friend, please don't go to Citygate High Wycombe VW dealer. All they offer is misleading information, unreliable work and most carelessness for you and your family's security.

We needed a new car as our circumstances changed, so we decided to go back to Citygate Watford and speak to Liam. We found out that he had moved branches so we decided to look at BMW, Mercedes & Audi. To be fair the salesman at Audi was really good but the range was poor. The other two companies was just a poor experience. We were confused and we agreed that the service was so good on our last visit that we would go back to see Liam at his new branch in High Wycombe. Once again we had another excellent experience and ended up going for a new VW. I seriously recommend Liam as he is such a nice person who listens and is thoughtful throughout your visit.

I bought a car from here in june 2016. Thought i had really good deal until i had problems with light keep coming up on dash. I took back as i have 12month guarantee and they told me i have to drive on motorway each time light comes on because of dps filter in car. Even though going back with the car 4 times now due to light keep coming up ( even when on motorway it comes up now) they will do nothing about it and now when i ring they never call me back as they instructed they would. Very poor customer service. My family have always bought cars from volkswagen so i thought it was a good dealer to buy from. Proved wrong and will never go back. Only having the car 3months i cant believe they dont help. And if i wanted to trade in would take 2500 off how much bought for. Citygate high wycombe absolute joke

Really good experience with Citygate Cars. The service was very good and the car is perfect, no problems. I bought a VW Polo a few months back and so far so good. I would recommend this dealership.
