Bargain van, did not expect anything spectacular for the price paid, however the van is very functional and serves its purpose.
I want to tell you about my experience of buying a vehicle from Creech. I bought my original vehicle over 10 years ago and even though we've moved up country, I said when I needed another van I would go back to Michael. As before, nothing has been too much trouble and I am very pleased with my new vehicle and the price.
I wish I had seen the other reviews on Creech Motor Company. My story is very similar to the negative review on this site. Less than 6 weeks after buying a van, I had a sudden problem with the clutch and changing gear. I managed to get home with difficulty. The following day I phoned Michael Tucker who immediately said the clutch wasn't covered by the warranty but “bring it back” and he would get his trusted mechanic to look at it. I understand that items that wear are not covered by the warranty, but this was a sudden failure. As I live 50 miles away I didn't think I could drive it there. I decided to get it to a local garage and get them to assess the problem. They phoned me within an hour to say that the problem wasn't the clutch but the gearbox. On relaying this to Michael Tucker, he said that the gearbox would be covered by his warranty, but “as you know the warranty was 50:50”. This was never said to me when I bought the van. Mr Tucker said that he did tell me and that there is info about the warranty on the wall of the office. He did not, and there was nothing obvious on the walls of the office, he also didn't give me anything in writing about any warranty. I regard myself as quite an observant person and I had to wait for over 5 minutes in the office while they looked for the key. If he had said the warranty was 50:50 on the costs, or I had seen this, I would probably have backed out of the deal, especially as the warranty was only 3 months. I had been looking at buying through auctions, but decided to go with a dealer for some comeback if anything went wrong. The gearbox was removed and sent to a specialist for repair. The total bill was £850. I sent a copy to Mr Tucker asking him to reimburse me in full within 14 days or I would take him to the small claims court for the cost of repair AND my loss of earnings as I had no vehicle for 7 days. This amounted to a further £1200. The 14 days passed without anything heard from Mr Tucker. I then went on-line and started the small claims court proceeding. The court costs was £105 which was payable immediately. A few days later, Mr Tucker phoned to say that weeks ago he had just received the court papers. He appeared surprised as he had sent a cheque for the repair cost 4 weeks previous. I confirmed that nothing was received which is why I had instigated court proceedings. The following day a cheque arrived for the repair cost. I wrote back thanking him for the part payment and confirmed that I would be continuing with court action. A week later a further cheque arrived for my loss of earnings. The only part Mr Tucker hadn't paid was the £105 court costs. I accepted this second cheque in settlement as I didn't want to waste time going to court. In summary I would suggest caution when buying from Michael Tucker. There were a number of other small issues with the van, that became clear in the first few weeks after purchase. The spare tire had a nail in it, one of the 2 batteries wasn't holding charge, the aircon doesn't work. A couple of bulbs didn't work and one of the stop tail bulbs had been jammed in upside-down so the bright stop filament worked when the tail lights were on. These minor things on their own weren't significant, but they did lead me to believe that no checking of any sort was carried out on the vehicle prior to sale. All they seem to do is give the vehicle a good clean. When I bought the van, there was only 3 months left on the MOT. Upon getting it tested, it failed on a wheel bearing at £200. If you buy from Michael Tucker and Creech Motor Company, clarify the terms of the warranty and insist upon the vehicle having a MOT at the very least. If the vehicle is good, you will be happy. If not, you will have some comeback and if you are not satisfied, start legal proceedings. Any vehicle sold by a dealer must be of merchantable quality and fit for purpose as is reasonable to expect having regard to its price, mileage and description.

I have brought off Michael Tucker at Creech Motor Company in the past and on every occasion I have had great customer care. There is a wide range of vehicles and at good prices.
Have always had my vans from creech motor company and have never had any issues . 5 star from me all the way. Look forward to renewing with u again next year.

I wanted to share a story about Michael tucker of Creech Motors. 6 weeks after purchasing a £6000 van the power steering rack needed replacing, thinking we were ok because we were provided with warranty at point of purchase we contacted Creech Motors and were told by Michael tucker that he never sold us the van. I then decided to send him an email pointing out the consumer rights act 2015 and he didn't respond to that so I then called him. He then told me that the warranty didn't cover me and if it did I would be responsible for 50% of the cost. Forced to have the work carried out else where because the van was un drivable for £640 I sent him an email requesting payment of £320 he hasn't even bothered to respond. He is to be given a wide birth don't buy from this guy he will dodge your emails and calls and will not honour his Micky mouse warranty. Please avoid the experience we have had and go some where else with your hard earned money.

I am a good friend of Michael and his family and can certify that Michael was on family leave abroad while you tried contacting him. He was therefore unable to pick up on his emails at this time. Everyone is entitled to leave and this is stated on the government website under holiday entitlement. I hope you read it at your own pleasure.
