Purchased a car from Direct Car Sales in Stockton on Tees that needed a NEW engine, went in for repair 3 times and all 3 times the issues where not rectified and on one occasion I waited 4 weeks for repair. Wanted me out of the 30 day period under the CRA 2015 so he could wash his hands of the lemon of a car. Luckily I informed the finance company in advance and kept them in a constant loop of the issues. As the issues where never rectified the 30 days was valid. Direct's response to the finance company : If we had to put a new engine in every car that needed one we'd be out of business. That insinuates its common practice to ignore engine issues and flog the lemon onto the next unsuspecting customer. My advice, use another local reputable dealer. Avoid Direct. Second Car from them, First one was fine no issues. They do say you know the worth of a dealer when issues arise!
I've had five cars over the years from this company. I have never had a problem, prices are very competitive and trade-ins are fair. Always my first stop for my next car.
I went to Direct Car Sales & Finance back in April and purchased a Ford Grand C. The car was in really good condition apart from a scratch on the side which was not mentioned prior to purchase but everything else was fine and the car runs really well, It was really good value for money too. The Sales people were really helpful and friendly and I would definitely recommend them.

Was promised a few issues would be sorted before the sale took place. In short they didn't replace the front tyres as promised, a part that was promised to be supplied wasn't and the vehicle has since developed a few issues that I have not bothered to take back to the dealers as I fully expect to be told these issues will not be covered under their warranty (which I received NO paperwork for). Also on a more serious note they did not send off the V5 so I have had to apply for one myself and also I have been fined by the DVLA as the dealer didn't see fit to notify them of the transfer of my old part ex car as promised. It would also appear that the vehicle has had damage repairs done in the past that I wasn't told about either. If you take the chance and deal with this seller I would be sure to check the vehicle and it's history very carefully. This car has needed several new parts since purchase and I fully expect there will be more needed in the near future.
