One of the worst garages I have ever had the misfortune to deal with. Please be careful when purchasing a vehicle here; descriptions are not accurate, MOT’s and repairs are completed by themselves at a separate location and are questionable, communication is extremely poor and the route of the problem will not be repaired. I have all evidence together leading to such a poor review. Purchased a vehicle in January that on description looked as though it was perfect, first impressions seemed good at the actual garage. I was told the car was awaiting preparation and would need a new mot/service and all the blowers inside were not working so they would need repairing before collection to. Upon test driving it I realised the tracking was completely out also and as part of the agreement to purchase the vehicle it was agreed this would be sorted as well as the other issue with the blowers. I also noticed the central locking wasn’t working and on mentioning this was told it was a battery and a new one would be fitted. I left the deposit and 5 days later I was called to say I could collect it the only call I ever received from their end through this whole process, travelled down to collect it to find the tracking and heating had not been done and I had also noticed an over steer with the steering. I raised that the central locking still wasn’t working to be told that it didn’t work in the first place! No offer of even attempting to repair this or being upfront with me initially. After no apology and being left waiting for the car so long initially I took the car away and was told to bring it back another 4 days later to the work shop that they have down the road (it was freezing without heating and I had my 2 year old son to transport) run by the trading manager of Dunball Motors who deals with the repairs and MOTs on the cars they sell. When taking the car back for the heating and what I was told for tracking to be repaired I was told tracking couldn’t be done there I’d have to come back again but they could do the heating. I was left 3.5 hours on a freezing cold wall outside the repair garage for it to be done this was when I also raised the front and back washers were not working properly either. I was told they had fixed the washers when fixing the heating. When driving the car away I had noticed the washers had not been fixed and was told they would order me a new jet for it. Just over a week passed and I had to take the car back again for tracking to be sorted out (so far my 4th trip in less than 2 weeks) by this point I had a wheel bearing go, washers front and back still aren’t working and the car is running and sounding rough. After a few days I was told to collect the car the issues were sorted only to find half way home they were still very much an issue and it appeared nothing had been done. Took the car back a few days later and that is where it stayed for almost 3 weeks!!!! During that time I had no communication whatsoever from the garage, I was not informed of what was going on, I was treated like an inconvenience, given a new excuse as to why it wasn’t ready every time I phoned, customer service was non existent and I was lied to at least twice during my interactions with them - I was told new jets where fitted when they weren’t, I was told repairs were made that hadn’t been. Never once did I get an apology for any of it. I purchased my car in January and after 14 interactions back and forth with repairs, over 30 phone calls, 9 trips back and forth and exceptionally poor service I called the garage and the owner was the one to reduce me to tears with an extremely poor attitude, no care at all for what I had been through and the poor level of service so I requested a refund. I’m thankful the refund was honoured although it had to be under a 3 month Warrenty. I am glad to have my money back and myself, family and friends will never deal with this garage again. This vehicle has since been put back up for sale with an inaccurate description and sold!! Please be very careful and do your research steer clear. I would never by a vehicle from here again nor my family or friends. This garage has caused a lot of stress and upset for me I M so glad to not have to contact them again.

The guy who owns it does not like to be questioned, very arrogant and full of self praise that makes me wary, mechanic was there working on other cars to which he instructed just turn the light out. Felt hassled and pressured.

i am not sure where you got that impression from because i am the opposite..!! never pushy and will always let the customer decide what is best for them. As for the mechanic how do you know what conversation was taking place before you so call heard what you did. We will regularly turn off engine management lights after plugging in and taking codes, and then take the vehicle for a test drive again, and if the light comes back on it will throw up the actual code that will tell exactly what is wrong. Of what benefit would there be to selling a car that we so called have turned a light out for it only to come back again within hours with the same problem.!! IT DOES NOT MAKE SENSE..!!

Brought a Peugeot from Dunball Motors, car is great, they are thorough, honest ,and customer service is second to none, I would recommend them to anyone. Well done guys, will definitely buy my next car from them.

I purchased a Vauxhall from Dunball Motors at an absolutely great price. Everyone there was more than helpful and the car was immaculate when I went to pick it up. I can say from my experience it was all good. Worth a visit.

Be very wary of Dunball Motors. DO NOT BUY. Went to look at a car and purposely turned up unannounced and found the car "having a new battery fitted" with a diagnostic tool on the passenger seat. The guys looked taken back and a bit edgy, like we weren't supposed to see that. Obviously had been clearing fault codes from the ecu. Look the car over and the brakes were worn out. Pads all round and front discs needed replacing and 1 illegal tire and 3 other barely legal tires. Had to get him to pump up a tire before a test drive. Guy got really defensive and almost rude on about the fact we pointed out the illegal tire. Wasn't willing to do anything about it. Took for a spin up the road which made the service light come on, which was obviously what they were clearing off of it earlier with the snap on diagnostic tool. So basically the guy tried to sell me a car with the issues it had on its last mot (worn brakes) and poor, illegal tires and consciously made an effort to delete fault codes to turn off warning lights in order to take my hard earned money. STAY AWAY.

Looked at a car for sale at Dunball Motors that read in the advert 'drives superb'!! I read some reviews on the garage, which said they were honest, so I put a deposit down on it, but when I test drove it a few days later, there was a bad rumbling coming from underneath and a strong smell of burning oil, Not sure where the 'drives superb' came from! He drove it himself and then admitted that he hadn't actually driven the car. When I said I didn't want it, the guy said he'd refund my deposit, which he did ok, but then he had a job to speak to me after that. Bad customer service attitude. The worrying thing is the advert was still on the website some days after but at a lower price. I think the car most probably had a knackered engine. Dont think I would trust anything from Dunball Motors.

I've had a car from Dunball Motors before which is why I didn't bat an eyelid buying from them again this time round. I had a list of things I wanted doing to the car before I drove it away and he sorted them all out, the car had a major breakdown later on and he took the car in and fixed it with no questions asked. He gave me a courtesy car during the repairs so I can't knock the service at all. I recommend them 100%

This guy talks the talk when you go to buy the vehicle. As soon as he had sold it to me the engine management light came on. I took it back there to have it sorted, his mechanics just turned the light off. 2 weeks later the light came on again, i took it back down. This time he'd promised me the problem was sorted. a week later the EML light came on again, i refused to go back there so instead i took it to my garage who sorted out the problem straight away and sent the bill to dunball motors. The owner (Julian) is very rude and arrogant and I found him to be most unhelpful. After i complained over the phone his response was 'these things happen.' After i purchased the car i took it to an independent garage to have it checked out, they found that the brake pads needed replacing as they were completely worn down and furthermore the tracking was out horrendously. I would not recommend this place and certainly never buy from him again.
