On the sales side can honestly say I was pleased. Aftercare leaves a lot to be desired...Took my car in for repair after it started misfiring. Thought why not have it serviced while they've got it. Went to work on the bus. Came to pick it up that evening. Sharp intake of breath at the bill but not totally surprised these days. 'Your cars parked right outside the door sir'! 'Your keys' Got in and guess what? It wouldn't start..You couldn't make it up! So I was without my car all next day too. Beware!!

As per a lot of the reviews on here I would advise you to avoid Evans Halshaw Ford Bury. They offered to buy our 5 year old bmw from us so we took it in but they advised they needed to put it on the ramp to check it which I knew they would do as we’d owned it less than 12 months. However they could not put the car on a ramp for 7 days!!!!! The car was a bmw which was only 5 years old done 51k miles with a full bmw service history! We had bought the car from Listers (a major dealership) a few months earlier (we had documented proof of purchase) but their ‘company policy’ was to put it on the ramp! So we were left in a predicament having already purchased another vehicle. Sales staff were useless and unhelpful. We were only selling it as it was too small we realised for what we needed. German manufactured car 5 years old full bmw service history what a bunch of idiots.....

We recently bought a new Focus & the care & service shown to us by the staff at Evans Halshaw Ford Burnley was fantastic & couldn't have been better. Our salesman Paul Byrne was outstanding & nothing was to much trouble, he made the whole process from start to finish as easy as possible & it was a pleasure to buy the car from them. My daughter has a Ford Fiesta 1.25 a 16 plate that she bought brand new at Evans Halshaw Ford in Bury. Had problems with tyre pressure monitor so took car in and what can I say !!!! Everything was difficult from the telephone contact initially to arranging to sort the problem . Customer service staff attitude was poor to say the least Staff were Lovely when we were purchasing but aftercare is tragic so BEWARE When car was aged 18 months warning lights flashing and car just stopped all of a sudden??? Had to have it towed to bury store where it stayed for a week ...... problems with getting a courtesy car even though on purchase we were told that would not be a problem... New water pump and timing belt and also had its service which we had pre paid when purchasing the car Next !!! Engine warning lights flashing ? Handbook states ‘ take to dealer’ needs looking at urgently We phone up and they can see in nearly 3 weeks !!!! What about the warranty ? Is it safe to drive ? Complained yet again and they state we can take it in in 4 days but my daugyter was too worried so we took it to another ford dealer and had a completely different experience Won’t be going back to Evans halshall ever again And this is a very honest review The only good thing I can say is when I once insisted on speaking to a manager at this store and he was good and got things sorted but it shouldn’t have to be so difficult. It’s a shame that Evans halshaw in Bury let yourselves down massively with your negativity and poor customer service and it shouldn’t happen

After my car was written off, I had to look for a replacement and was dreading it. I didn't need too as I was looked after impeccably by Steve Thompson and Neil. Nothing was too much trouble and they both worked hard to get me a good deal. I now have a beautiful car, a good deal and peace of mind. I can't recommend Evans Halshaw Ford Bury enough.
