Just bought a fabulous car. A great deal and the customer service was outstanding. Brian, our salesman went the extra mile for us. Great car, great service. Can't rate it highly enough.
Purchased my car on Sunday the 6th, Asked if the car would be ready for collection on the 11th, Phoned twice during the week to ensure the car would be ready and i was told that it would be. Go through to the garage on the 11th, signed all paperwork to then be told the car hasn’t been MOTd and it wouldn’t be ready until monday. On monday i was waiting for the car to be delivered, Received a phone call from the garage to say the MOT hadn’t been completed as there was a light on the dashboard and the car wouldn’t be ready until Wednesday. Ended up cancelling the sale due to the amount of hassle i had been through, James the sales manager has been extremely rude avoiding our phone calls and the other day i received the V5 for the car even though i don’t have the car! Completely unprofessional customer service and sales! Take your money elsewhere

Beware. When you have your car on MOT check, they will try to up-sell you unrelated premium services. They mark them as 'red alert' to make it look important even though it's not. Unfortunately I fell for it and bought some nonsense air con cleaning service. It costs £70 and my car stank so bad I got nauseous while driving. It's been a week and my car still smells of disgusting chemical odour. Won't be returning there for MOT checks anytime soon.

Brought and part exchanged our car. The person picked up our old car and dropped off the new one as we were in lockdown and lived nowhere near Scotland. Documents were’t completed properly, so we are getting fines one after the other!! We had to contact the police about this and reported it! Also, took out mechanical & breakdown guarantee, the car broke down and the so called guarantee we took out didn’t cover anything!!! Waste of money! I would put minus star on this company if I could. Avoid this company!!!
I bought a car and after 3 months discovered major issues. The garage offered no help . Wouldn’t look at the car . NO customer service at all. The finance company in the end stepped in and we’re a great help. Very poor service and certainly would not recommend them.
We purchased our 5th car Jamie, he has always been very friendly and extremely helpful. Jamie has ensured we have all he cover for the car we have just purchased (Tyre and Hub caps & service plan) which we did not know was an option and are really happy with this great customer services.

My Captur broke down and had to be towed for repair, as I was moving house I had little option than to take it to the main dealer in Sighthill in Edinburgh. Henceforth renamed “main stealer”. I have no qualms about the work but the hourly rate is ridiculously high at around £132 + The dreaded VAT. Don’t be fooled into authorising more than one hour for diagnosis- I foolishly went for 2 and for that got a “free” report on brakes etc. Something I neither needed or asked for. In fact the RAC guy that towed me in plugged in his diagnostic unit and had me pump the accelerator a few times and he diagnosed that the turbo had failed. Why did Renault take 2 hours and £264 to diagnose the same thing? Pretty obvious to me. Turns out the new turbo was not brand new but was a refurbished unit but Renault approved for around £900! Warranty? 3 months! The whole job, for 8 hours work cost £2700 odd ! Bottom line, unless you have a Renault warranty that the Stealer can capitalise on, stay well clear of Renault. If you buy a used, out of Renault warranty, car, they will (allegedly) try hard to tell you they are not liable if it goes wrong. I recommend that you take your car to the Clifton garage at East Calder, they are brilliant with Renault cars, can do the same level of diagnostic work and are a fraction of the Stealers hourly rate. Plus they talk and discuss your problem. Once the Stealer had my cash, I didn’t get a response from the same guy that kept calling me to tell me that it might take longer due to the possibility of seized nuts and bolts, hence they would need more time to fix etc. My car came back with a banging from the front near side that it didn’t have when it went in. They wouldn’t entertain my calls or texts. They did tell me that it was my shock absorber or front hub, the master mechanic had diagnosed that and would I like a cost to fix sir? Turns out there was nothing at all wrong with any of that! TAKE CARE, I recommend that you steer well away from Evans Halshaw. Go to Clifton garage instead.
