I've purchased cars from Evans Halshaw Vauxhall in Middlesbrough since I retired some 10 years ago and have always found their service to be quick efficient and friendly. This is particularly so over the last two or three years when I have dealt with Neil Brown and in addition more recently his colleague Luke Herbert.
Rang up the day before to enquire about a car, booked a time for the next day to go and view it, we spoke to a salesman called Neil. Got there the next day at the time we booked in. Asked for Neil and he ends up sending out a new salesman who was lovely but didn’t know that we were coming in, the car wasn’t even washed for us, he explained that he didn’t even know that we were coming in at all. We showed him the car that we liked, he went out to get the keys. Had a look around at it, went back inside to sit down and enquire properly about it for him to look at his computer to find out it has been reserved... so we spent 30 minutes wasting our time. Neil didn’t even bother telling the other salesman who was showing us around that it was reserved and didn’t bother ringing us before we traveled down 45 minutes away to say it was reserved. Appalling customer service. Don’t bother speaking to the salesman called Neil. He wouldn’t even come over to us and talk to us about the car and to say sorry for all the time we wasted because of him. Don’t bother visiting, awful experience!
I bought a car from evans halshaw Vauxhall Middlesbrough, everything was going really well until someone in admin decided to post the registration document off to the Dvla instead of completing the change of ownership on line which would have taken 5 days instead of 8 weeks. This meant I was unable to put my private plate on which the garage was aware of that I wanted to do! I sent a letter into evans Halshaw and didn’t have the decency of a response, an apology would have sufficed as mistakes can happen. I’ve never come across this when buying a car but saying that I’ve never bought a car from a Vauxhall garage perhaps it’s down to the prestige standing of the manufacturer! It’s a shame really as up until this part of the purchase all was going well, it’s clear once you get the keys it is at this point they stop caring not even a follow up phone call to see how the car is which was promised. A lot to learn about giving customer experience and satisfaction! Never again if you are in the unfortunate position of purchasing a car from here make sure they send the v5 off online
I am absolutely delighted with the care i received from Angela at my recent visit. She kept me very well informed, took care of sorting out my warranty company and always had a pleasant manner. I can honestly say i have never been so well looked after by a garage. Thanks Angela
Sent us a video of the sat nav in the car !!! Got delivered no sat nav manager Adam says that merc spec didn’t have a sat nav well this one did and after we paid cash they took it out !! So that’s theft !! The sakes man blamed the manager as he said he told him to say that !! It’s back with them now sorting the body work out as they said they would but didn’t I wouldn’t trust them at all totally liars I sat in the car and saw the sat nav they think pensioners are stupid errr not these pensioners
Booked to into Evans Halshaw Vauxhall in Middlesborough to look at a car when we arrived car was unclean and i had to clean it.Very good start,Tried 3 attempts to get a valuation from them for my PX over the phone before i travelled 60 miles, Anyway tested the car,no problem.Sat down to get offer for PX only to be given £1000 less than Evans Halshaw online valuation and We buy any car.So they give low price only to lower your PX to make same money.Just a compete waste of time and money.Would not recommend them.I have used Evans Halshaw in Doncaster and been very impressed by them
Terrible after sales service from Evans Halshaw Vauxhall Middlesborough. Bought a new car from the forecourt. On getting it home, I noticed what I thought to glue residue on passenger front window, which I assumed to be from the stickers they put on the Windows. Not worrying to much about it at the time, I resolved to tackle it when I washed the car. However, it turned out to be a scratch. Went back 9 days later, and their attitude was just a shrug of the shoulders, " nothing to do with us, gov". I'd traded in a 3 year old car, with 5400 miles on the clock, and NOT A MARK ON IT, but they said because I'd left it 9 days, I must be responsible for it. NOT TRUE! They just couldn't care less once they had a sale. Would they have taken a different view if I'd taken it back on day 2, day 3, day 4? Worst after sales service I've ever had from a dealership. Will never use again, and suggest you avoid,
Would not buy from again ,ripped off on trade in given 400.00 car then sold for over 2000.00
My recent transaction with Evans Halshaw Middlesborough was a very good one. To be fair there was a couple of issues, they ironed these out very quickly. They was on the ball very quickly when i had issues so would call up and get through to who i needed very quickly and then if they wasnt their i would receive a call within the timeframe so i wasnt sat waiting around for this. All paperwork was as it should be and done in a timely manner and no issues as such 2 months down the line. Able to get through to people
