Zero wasn’t an option Zero wasn’t an option. My car has been in for a simple repair under warranty since July 6th (130 days). The cat has only done 15000 miles. Constantly being told they are doing things but they never happen. Last week got a message saying “the tests will be carried out today”. I ring a week later and they still haven’t been done. Service manager constantly says he will ring me but never does. Full of lies and empty promises. I must have been in 4/5 times to collect the vehicle when I’ve been told it’s ready and it’s still been in pieces. Very keen to blame Vauxhall and their technical department as they’re always “awaiting instruction on what to do next”. Never fills you with confidence when the service manager himself says “I would never buy a Vauxhall myself”. Awful service and I still haven’t got my car back!!

If u took financial help buying the car contact them they have to sort it as technically they own car if the car is unfit for use they can demand full refund for you and then it opens door for compendious in court to for the problems u have had . Been in the same situation.and they are rubbish
Had an appointment to view a used car. Had the misfortune of dealing with the most uninterested sales bloke going who disappeared half way through to “deal with” another customer. Second bloke wasn’t much better. No customer service whatsoever. Having worked in car sales myself for 5 years, I’d never dream of treating potential customers in this way! Car was poorly prepared, not clean etc… Avoid at all costs. Deal done with another company local to Plymouth, same make and model of car, much better preparation all around and customer service was spot on!
What can I say! I have had an amazing experience with vauxhall Plymouth. I can't thank them enough for what they did for me. I was so dubious about purchasing my Hyundai Tucson from a company over 200 mile away without seeing it, as I live in Liverpool. I had previously had a terrible experience with another used car dealer nearer to me, and was losing the will to live looking for cars.☹️ I wanted this car as it was a great deal and matched everything that I wanted so I went ahead. Everything was great from start to finish. There were a few minor issues but Rob sorted them out straightaway and speaks to you on a straight level, no sales pitch included 😁! I would like to thank Ryan aswell as he reassured me along the way that everything would be ok, and it really was!!! Thank you so much guys, I have already recommended you and always will. Keep up your honest approach to your customers. 👍
Absolutely appalling service. Paid a deposit for a car that we seen online that was at the Portmouth Evan Halshaw to have a phone call 3 days later to say that the car had been sold even though a member of staff checked it was available when we paid the deposit! Such bad customer service!!
After my car was written off in a bad accident in May, I started the search for a new vehicle. I spoke with Rob Collins and discussed everything I wanted in my new vehicle, within a couple of hours he had found me exactly what I'd wanted and more! He explained the process in great detail, and kept me informed throughout. Rob & his colleague Ty were friendly, professional and nothing was too much trouble. Ordered a vehicle off the website. It took 5 weeks to transfer to this dealership. No communication. When it did arrive the staff were as unhelpful as possible. They tried to inflate the web price by £1200 and tried to force the optional worthless admin fee on me as mandatory. Wouldnt tell me why it took 5 weeks to transfer as I was concerned about the cars history. They promised me they would get the details but then sold the car at a higher price despite the fact I had paid a deposit. Awful
Brought a car in august, within a week of driving it the engine management light came on. I took it back, they did a dpf re- gen and said it was fine. 2 days later it came back on again, I took it back in, they said they couldn’t fix it and it would need to go to Mercedes to be looked at. I took it to Mercedes. They also did a dpf re gen and said if it was to come back on again there could be a slight leak in the EGR valve. Few days later it came back on again, I had to take it back to Evans halshaw/car store, they fixed the egr valve and guess what... days later the engine light come on again. At this point I had enough I decided I didn’t want the car, the customer service had been fine up until this point. I was basically told if I exchanged my car I would only loose a small amount of my money but if I wanted a full refund I would loose a considerable amount more. If that’s not bribery then I don’t know what is. They didn’t have a car we wanted, so had no choice but to opt for a refund. I would not recommend this company to anyone. I tried to raise my complaint higher but apparently complaints only go as far as the dealer principle who happens work at the same place the car came from. Awful company. Avoid.
Just be careful with Evans Halshaw Vauxhall Plymouth. The price for the car is just the start, admin charges, ,fuel charge, hard sell on insurances, not negotiable on price.
Today when purchasing our car from Evans Halshaw Vauxhall Plymouth we had great service very friendly staff very helpful and thanks to Stephan and Nick for making us feel welcome and we are very pleased with our new car
NEVER BUY A CAR FROM EVANS HALSHAW! Bought an expensive car from their branch in Glasgow, the car is now a project car due to the amount of hidden problems with it. Noticed they hadnt MOT’d it, their response was “the did a mock MOT to see if it would pass”. they told me they’d pick up the bill for all the work, not heard back since.
