Where to start? 1. Not one, but two members of staff valued my partner’s car incorrectly, then reduced the part-exchange offer a day later - despite a deal being made in person between my partner and the salesperson. One of these members of staff was a manager, who quoted “our usual system was down and we typed the registration in wrong and the Mini appeared as an Audi A1”. Correct me if I’m wrong, but surely someone valuing cars should be able to tell the difference. The only saving grace came in the form of a “goodwill gesture” of a ceramic coating and window tints. We found the entire initial sales process tedious, and the staff unprofessional. 2. After the initial disagreement (and our subsequent loss of money), whenever my partner required any additional, pre-arranged services, or proof of purchase, we had to contact them ourselves and spend a week chasing what they said they’d send in a day. 3. On the day of pickup, no information was given to my partner to inform her of what to do or what to bring with her - being a first time part-exchange for her, she found this stressful to say the least. When she did pick the car up, the windows had not been tinted and we were told she would have to take it to a pre-arranged appointment at a tinting company - no problem. 4. It’s been over a month, and the only information my partner has been given from the salesperson regarding the tints was, “I’ll call you back with some dates soon”. In all honesty, I’ve had to chase Vauxhall Wakefield for that much information, provided more expertise on some of their own processes than their manager did, and arranged times and dates for phone calls/appointments for them, that I’m now beginning to wonder when I’ll get my first wage.
I took my vehicle for its M.O.T and service to Evans Halshaw at Wakefield. I was very satisfied with the way that I was dealt with and I was kept informed at every stage of what my car required. The COVID plan put in place at the showroom was excellent. I found the whole experience exemplary and I would recommend them to anyone.
Poor service from the service department and even poorer from the "sales staff" that were in branch after servicing team closed I will never ever deal with these again
Avoid like the plague!! My Stepdad took his car for a service here this week and they called to tell him the cambelt needed replacing. originally they quoted £1400...it then went up to £2600. After speaking to other garages, not only does the cambelt NOT need replacing - they couldn't understand how Evan's Halshaw had come to this conclusion during a routine service. Another garage was happy to undertake the work for £350....but it did not need doing!! Scam artists!!
Found a car online (long distance purchase). Byron was great, we agreed a sale and I secured the car with a deposit. Following day I had a distanced sale agreement meeting over zoom where sale was agreed and purchase order was signed (this is legally binding contract). I received a call 2hours later refusing to sell me the car because they had not priced it correctly, this is when Omar got involved. This man should not work in a customer service environment, he is rude and has lots of attitude which reduced me to tears!!! Do not deal with this man, I have gone above to complain about how I have been treated and how they have breached their contract and sale should be honoured, the case has not been resolved and yet they have put the car back up for sale. I am shocked how a company can act so unprofessionally.
After Discussing a purchase of a mini on the Monday, the sales person "Zoe" said she was off on the Tuesday and would phone me on the Wednesday to arrange the sale and delivery. I had to contact the sales rep and was then informed that the car was sold on the Tuesday!!!! UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!!! Thanks for nothing, I even told her that I work for the NHS and really needed the car......
Incredibly useless. Part ex my car to them. Never declared to Dvla that they took the ownership of the car as a dealer after promising me that they take care of everything. Incredibly useless the second time: sold the vehicle on and they never declared that to Dvla too. Speechless what a useless company can’t even accomplish the most basic responsible duties as a dealer.
