Turned up to test drive a vehicle, having made arrangements to do so to be told it had been sold. It happens but the lack of courtesy shown and the blase ‘oh we had lots of interest in that one’ when I suggested someone could have emailed me to advise not to waste my time driving over there was shameful.
Joe Fisher from Fishers of March in response to Time wasters
Hello Dawn, money buys cars not promises. You didn’t want to put a deposit down to secure the car. Someone else did and bought it. It’s as simple as that nothing personal just business.
Our initial findings were very pleasing and we had nothing but praise for the cleanliness of not only our newly bought vehicle but every vehicle on the premises. It appeared to be a very well run company. However a few days after taking delivery the engine management light illuminated so we returned the car to the dealer for repair under guarantee. From then on our experience turned sour. It was returned to Fishers on 8th November, Despite assurances that we would be kept in the picture regarding progress on the repair, we were not!! As i write this review it is now 24th November and still no definitive estimate for completion of repair. We have had to constantly ring to ask for updates and their only excuse was that the outfit that was effecting the repair was so very busy that they had been unable to deal with our problem entirely due to their pressure of work. Although there was a comprehensive guarantee with the vehicle at point of purchase, we are sincerely hoping that nothing further crops up that necessitates another trip to the repairer. All in all it would appear to be another company showing Fishers up in a bad light although they themselves, as mentioned, have been less than forthcoming with voluntary updates!!

Recently traded in a car and bought a newer one, joe gave me a competitive price for mine. They got it mot’d, serviced and valeted ready for collection - can’t fault them. I would 100% return and deal with them again.

I’d like to say thank you for your helpful service while purchasing my car. The cars are very good and the manager a nice guy so if you’re after a new car try here.

Kind and helpful people at Fishers. They answered all my questions and weren’t pushy at all. Cars are also well presented.

Bought a car for the wife from Fishers and received outstanding service. Better than what I’ve received from car dealers in the past. I certainly wouldn’t hesitate to buy another car when I need to change mine. So thanks Joe and staff for your help!

Car was very well presented when I purchased from here. Reasonably priced not the cheapest but definitely in excellent condition compared to others i had viewed. Had a small issue under warranty but this was sorted quickly. Overall it’s top marks from me for the Vauxhall Astra I bought from here.
Found it very difficult to find the right car, due to being disabled I can only drive an automatic. Luckily fishers had what I wanted at the time and were helpful. Nice to deal with a local business which offers a personal guarantee
Avoid buying a car here at all costs. We bought a car from here with no warnings of any faults. On the drive back from picking up the car, the car had serious acceleration faults causing the car not to accelerate. Obviously a major fault and threat to safety! After going back and forth with the garage they suggested getting a home mechanic to look at it, after this didn't work the garage decided to take it back and try and fix it. We asked for our money back within 30 days, they refused and said they will fix the car. A month passed with no communication from the garage regarding the state of the car, so at this point they have the car and our money. Attempted several times to contact them through letters during that month which were ignored. Finally had to go visit the garage to find out the car still wasn't fixed, it was only then that they decided to give us the money back. A set of keys were in the car when it was dropped off before fixing which we asked to be sent back to us, it then took the keys a whole month to be sent back. Upon receiving the keys we found that a sentimental item was missing from the key ring. Disgusting customer service, absolute joke.

If i could give this garage a zero I would. I have no experience with the tyre aspect of this company but DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM HERE. Bought a car from here at the end of July, said the car was perfectly fine with nothing wrong with it, coming with a 3 month warranty. Driving back home the cars acceleration would stop working and I would have to turn the car off and start again, bearing this in mind I am a learner driver. Call up the garage and tell them the problems, "might be the heat or the fact that you have just put petrol in because it was empty" (this was when the heatwave hit) basically told to give it a couple of days and see if you still have the problem. Same problems over the next two weeks, get a home mechanic to look at it because the garage is 1hr 30mins away and is not safe to drive. All while my stepdad was keeping in contact with Joe and telling us to change the spark plugs and coil pack, and he would pay for the mechanics time. Car still broken and he did not pay. Ask for money back over the phone, to which Joe refused and said to "drop the car to the garage and give us a chance to fix it" Dropped it off at the garage and asked for a refund, refused again. Few days later over the phone we are told that the car is going to another garage, and then to an electrician because they cant seem to fix it even though "there is nothing wrong with the car, it is a minor intermittent fault". No update from them after this, and at this point have had my car for over 2 weeks now, with no response from them even when I send a letter every 2 weeks asking for a refund with details on to contact me otherwise this shall be taken to court. Over a month has passed and I end up driving all the way to the garage for Joe to tell me "the car is still in another garage we are waiting for a part". Ask for my money back AGAIN and Joe asks if I can wait till the end of the week because he needs the new Log book (which I never received). End up having to call the government about the log book, they have no record of me owning the car so he never sent it off. They still have my set of keys with the car key attached which I couldnt get back because "it was still at the other garage" which is just down the road... FINALLY get my money back for the car, but then Joe takes over a MONTH to send my keys back, when I call and ask for my keys back the response is "well you got your money back didnt you?" and then when i get my keys in the post today the one sentimental thing that was on there is broken and they didnt even send the broken part back. Worst service I have ever experienced and if you are a woman and go there with a man he will talk to the man while answering your question.
