We bought a converted Mercedes van from Free Spirit and both Ian and Adrian could not have been more friendly or helpful. When we arrived to pick the van up, all the paperwork was ready for us and we were talked through everything we needed to know. We have had to call Free Spirit a couple of times since purchasing the van with questions about how to do things or where to find find things and they have always been brilliant. We would highly recommend them.

Very good customer experience, delivered my van to time and I'm very happy with it. The whole team at Free Spirit worked hard to convert my van on time with quite a short deadline. The advice on fit out and extras was great and I'm really pleased with my van, looking forward to many adventures in it! Improvements that I think would make this a 5; - Handover was good but I forgot quite a few of the details and I don't understand everything about the camper - A manual that covers the info given in the handover would be really useful. - A What's App group that customers could voluntarily join to share tips, ask questions of each other etc. - Or maybe a booked follow up call to provide an opportunity to ask and answer queries. Really hope this is helpful.

I’m very pleased with my Mercedes Viano conversion. I previously bought a Mazda Bongo from Free Spirit. I was very happy with it and had it for about 5 years before selling it to trade up to a Motorhome from another supplier. A Bongo is a good first buy camper. The Merc was more expensive than the Bongo but in my opinion has a lot of advantages; The space between the front seat means that you can move around the van without going outdoors. It feels much more spacious. It feels much smarter and has the Merc badge The powerful petrol engine means that it drives like a car and doesn’t strain going up hills! The roofline is lower than a Bongo so it’s easier to park. The push up roof is incredibly quick and easy to use as is the new rock n roll bed/rear seat. I sold my car because I only need the Merc. Unlike a Motorhome it’s easy to drive and park in a town. I took the Bongo and Motorhome on trips around the UK and also around France, Spain and Portugal. I will do the same with the Merc. That said, the Merc is perfect for days out picnicking and music festivals (where a porta potty is infinitely better than a festival toilet). I windsurf and it’s bliss to be able to travel with my board and sails inside the van rather than on the roof. It’s great to be able to get changed in the van and then to have a beer from the fridge or make tea when it’s cold. In my opinion the only downsides of the Merc are that It’s quite thirsty to drive around town and it doesn’t have a shower/toilet room but you pay a lot more for them and Campsite shower blocks are much cheaper! The team at Free Spirit are a pleasure to deal with. NB it’s become much more professional under its current management and the build quality is superb.

We love the van, it's so well finished, it's exactly what we want, and is a great and comfortable drive. We cannot thank you and the team for the work on the van. Everyone one who has seen it has been impressed by the quality of the vehicle. Both inside and out.

I’ve just had my first trip away in my Mazda Bongo. Everything went well, the van is great and looks brand new. Ian and Adrian were good to deal with, always helpful and knowledgeable and not pushy at all. Would recommend Free Spirit Campervans to anyone looking to buy a quality campervan.

All went very well, from start to finish, One of the most in-depth discussions regarding the vehicle I've ever had - they went into so much detail regarding the components on the van. I haven't been camping in it yet but I've used it as a day van to the beach and it's lots of fun. I can't fault the sales through to the handover. Even the aftercare is great - I messaged them regarding a fault on the van and they were really apologetic and helpful and asked me to take the van in to get looked at. Highly recommended.
