This is what I Learned from GB Car Deals To sell a car, a car dealer is required to understand its customer. This is what I learned from GB Car Deals 6 months back when I purchase a car for myself. Previously, no doubt I was very fond of cars and owned one but have never got a chance of purchasing a new car. Last year, when my old car started giving troubles, I decided to purchase a new car for myself. But being a costly thing I was not able to afford a huge amount at that time and hence I purchased the same after 6 months. That time my craziness have increased a bit and was searching for one of my favorite vehicles, i.e. Ford Kuga Estate .I searched this vehicle for days together and while searching the internet I found the car at GB Car Deals. Without wasting a single minute I contacted GB Car Deals over the phone where I talked to Alex-an efficient guy who helped me in every step of purchasing the car starting from inquiry to the delivery of the car. Thank you very much Alex. Then, I was asked to come to their premises on a particular date. I visited, met Alex and Lee and found the desired model of the car to be available. I was well treated by all the staffs of GB Car Deals. To my surprise, I found the price of the car to be the same as provided in their website. Alex discussed with me regarding the purchase of the car, the documents required, the time required to deliver the product, etc. Even he promised me to offer some discount on the purchase as well as asked me to contact him anytime if any problem arises in the future relating to the purchase of the car. The staffs of GB Car Deal were friendly and readily provided all the information I asked for. As soon as I placed the order for the car at GB Car Deals I received a mail where an invoice was attached with the price clearly written, including of all the taxes. For the first time I found such a company, i.e. GB Car Deals that serve its customers so quickly. Besides, the invoice I received a number of mails regarding the documents to be submitted, the documents that are required to be signed by me, expected date of delivery of the car and many more. GB Car Deals kept me updated on each and every step of the purchase. Even GB Car Deals and its staffs also arranged finance for my car at a price that cannot be done by any other company in a short period. Finally, after three to four weeks of placing the order (before the scheduled date) I found the car delivered by a professional driver at my house. The car was the brand new and the same model that I ordered. The driver called me half an hour before the delivery of the vehicle. The driver was extremely helpful and friendly. Even after the delivery of the product, I received a call from Alex, asking me whether I am satisfied with the product or not. Thank you very much GB Car Deals and team for providing an excellent and stress free service. I feel that I received a fair price, outstanding service, and personalized attention throughout the process. Lastly, I would like to give my special thanks to Alex who helped me throughout the process, providing me updates by mail as well as phone. Alex, you made my car buying experience almost flawless. You met and exceeded all my expectations. If incase Alex was not present at the office; there was Lee to answer all my queries. You guys are great in helping me and I appreciated the effort and time both of you has given me with my experience of purchasing the car. I have already recommended GB Car Deals to some of my friends and relatives, and I will not hesitate to recommend others in the future days. This has been a truly shocking experience. Please avoid at all costs. I ordered a new car from GB Car Deals (Spectrum Vehicle Finance Limited) in August 2013. I was told that the car would be brand new and that I would be the first registered keeper. They offered a reasonable discount and seemed like a decent company. After waiting two months, the car was delivered. Unfortunately, it was completely the wrong car due to an error at the company. This was disappointing, but I accept that mistakes occasionally happen. The company apologised and let me drive the incorrect car until my new one was delivered. A few weeks later, the company withdrew this offer without warning and demanded over £800 in 'hire car' fees. When I refused to pay, they appointed a third-party company to recover the car and leave me without a car until they sorted their mistake out! I was left with no option but to pay this extortionate fee since I needed the car for my daily commute. The correct car was eventually delivered in March 2014, nearly seven months after ordering. I was assured that the tax disc and log book would be sent straight away. These were not received and I was unable to drive the car after the initial two week grace period without a tax disc. I phoned the DVLA to arrange for a replacement log book and tax disc to be issued. They investigated and found that GB Car Deals had registered the car to an insurance company in a different country. This insurance company contacted the DVLA and declared that the car (which had been sat on my driveway for months) was in their possession. Strange! After six weeks of constant telephone calls and emails, I eventually persuaded the DVLA that it was my car after providing lots of photos and documentation. They sent the new tax disc and log book out promptly, however I was the second registered keeper on the log book. Throughout the process, GB Car Deals did not want to help. I occasionally received one-line abhorant emails from their director and they now won't reply to any of my emails or letters. UPDATE: Following an independent investigation by the Financial Ombudsman Service, I have received a full refund. I am in communication with the police and other authorities regarding the company's activities. I am happy to be contacted by potential buyers to discuss my unacceptable experience.
