GM have a lot of positive reviews on Google. Three reasons: the sales process is exemplary, customers are encouraged to leave a review immediately, and most used cars have enough life in them to get them to their next MOT. The reality only comes to light when there's a problem. That's when you realise that everything you've been told during the sale was performance and invention, that they issue MOTs without carrying out proper checks and that there is no aftercare service. Finally, you might realise, no matter how reasonable you have been despite the injustice and stress, that it takes a negative review to get to them, and that they'll pull out all stops to concern you to the degree you remove your review. They believe that they're expert at this - look at their verbose, patronising replies to negative reviewers on Google. Accepting blame? No chance. It took me 5 emails and a number of phone calls to receive a monosyllabic reply. And more effort to have them - again monosyllabic-ally - agree to look at my car, including an arranged visit at which no one was present and the garage closed.. There was an issue - my exhaust was done in, and my car required a new gearbox. In the end, I paid up for this myself at a garage I've known and trusted for years. The mechanic their told me my car should have failed its MOT (issued a three weeks and 200 miles previously) on three counts. You've been warned.

This garage will ask you to leave a google review right after buying the car and let's just say that the sale is the most friendly I have ever had so yes - they will make them look like a trustworthy and great place to buy your car. BUT. Do not trust them. In my case the serpentine was faulty and made a noise the very next day - they refused to fix anything (dismissed my claims) and I had the most difficult time to even get an answer - let alone get the car seen. So far I have racked up over £800 in repair for various things, including the exhaust which was falling down and even had a hole in it, the hand break cable was hanging on for dear life (and other niceties). I have not even started to address the fact that the central lock or the AC isn't functioning. Nothing was noted as they stated that the car was fully serviced when bought and getting the smallest thing acknowledged from them is a nightmare. Anyways. The google had fooled me at the time - thinking that at least I could contact them to get a serious and local follow up of the car with them. Please don't make the same mistake and do not get fooled by it - or at least be ready to buy a car with many hidden repairs. Hiding my infos as I know the owner harass people who leave bad reviews.

Had the same problem, they refused to take back the car . After 26 days or developed a turbo , breaks and clutch problem. I’m going to have my quote on Monday and have to pay for every single penny. Was even accused of slander by them. But I won’t stop telling everyone about them. I spent a lot of money , paid in full for a faulty car. Even the warranty they sell aside says that they will do a full 280 points inspection . It “passed” but came with a lot of those same points faulty . I already spoke with the citizen’s advisor and waiting to know what to do.

Update 31 May 2023 —-I DO NOT ADVISE ANYONE TO BUY FROM THIS DEALER !!!!!! — The dealer refuses to repair or take the car back, I am waiting for a quote to fix my turbo and clutch, (dealer says that this were issues that appeared after the sale - 25 days after to pre precise, and that why they say they won’t refund me ) The warranty they gave asks for so much paperwork and emails/calls that it’s impossible to activate. So I will have to pay all of this from my pocket. And I can’t stress enough that I bough this far from this dealer 26 DAYS ago. The car cost £4850 and I will have to pay almost half of that in repairs. I was already accused of slander but so have many others as you can see on the reviews section, and in that same section you can see that I am not the first . The only thing I can do is share my experience . Update- tried to get a full refund as this was the 26th after the purchase as it’s my right according to the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and that request was denied by the dealer, asked the dealer to fix the issues and was refused as well. The only thing they say is to use the extra warranty I paid for . The problem is that if the smoke + clutch are what I think, the repairs will be way over the warranty limit. So I will have to pay a big bill over a car I bought less than a month ago. I proposed 2 option - full refund as I am on my 30 day window or the car going to the dealers mechanic to be fixed. Both rejected by the dealer. —————————————————————- Found this car online and looked amazing on the photos. The service at the time of the sale was friendly and amazing and the car was delivered in time. At the delivery moment I realised that the “superb example” of my car was as you can see on the photos (I know, my fault, never will buy a car again trusting the advertisement, lessons learned ) After 1 week I had to spend £165 on a new battery (not covered on the warranty) 2 weeks after the service light went on (was serviced at sale) and one of the fog lights (the ones on the photo) went bust, 3 weeks after the purchase, the clutch became very hard, the car made a cloud of smoke coming from the engine so I decided to call the dealer. The friendliness that made me trust and buy the car was not there anymore, I even said that the car was supposed to be valeted and there was dirt on the fog lights , even found a child’s pacifier and crisps etc on the car. Not helpful at all and it was even said that I live miles away from the dealer so there’s nothing that can be done . Will now try to sort at least the engine and clutch problem with the warranty I had paid extra to have and all the other things from my pocket. I was told on the after sale support “it’s a 11 years old car, what to expect?” (same sale support advertised this car as a “superb example” when it was for sale) Spent £4850 (car) + £240(delivery) + £80 (for a proper valet) + £165(battery) + fixing fog lights ( the photos that look like an ant farm ) + engine or turbo issue + clutch issue (still hoping that the warranty will cover this last 2 but don’t believe so ) After all of this I was only told “I don’t know what to tell you” “I don’t know what you want me to do” And “apart from the clutch and smoke those are all minor things “ All the body issues I blame myself for choosing online purchase BUT the car was quoted as a superb example and we were not made aware of any of these flaws. (Hundreds of body scratches , big bump on the bonnet, fog lights completely full of dirt, faulty battery, rust in various places around the car , alloys , engine etc are some of the examples of things that could have been mentioned ) Very disappointed

Don't buy from these people. Had a positive experience of the sales process, but have had several problems with the car since I purchased it; problems with brake sensors, flickering interior lights, clutch problems, unbalanced wheels (with uneven wear that was not reported as an advisory in it's MOT)... The list goes on. After sales support entirely lacking, had to fight to get the clutch looked at, and now my emails are being entirely ignored despite having reported issues within their 60 day warranty period (originally on the 22nd September, then the 18th November, and most recently the 4th of January). Interesting that Euna has found the time to reply to my Google review within 24 hours of it being edited (a reply which has since been deleted, claiming to have no record of me on their system), while emails go unanswered for months. Not impressed and would not go back to buy from them again.

thank you, will avoid after reading this ..was about to ring them before travelling to view a car but won't now .. shocking the number of dishonest car sales, I am so glad for these reviews.

We have had the exact same I’m so upset by it all my autistic son purchased a car from Euna she was all nice at the sale got home indicators not working locking not working windows going up and down and following morning engine management light has come on I took to a car registered garage near where I live they have done checks including safety and believe we have been sold a car not fit for purpose ! I’ve had contact with her she told me to use the warranty my son took out and surprise surprise the warranty doesn’t cover the bigger expensive fixes .. just gutted it was my sons life savings all we want is the money back and car returned which we have a right ti do so within the 30 days .. after no help and rudeness from Euna and telling me via message I need to be careful who I’m throwing accusations around at … I’ve been to trading standards and sent a letter recorded delivery to her which she has 14 days to comply with if not it’s court I won’t give up I will fight nail tooth and comb to get my sons money back it’s been very stressful I wish we never purchased the car

Bought a car a Volvo C30 picked up car was filthy with chips also previous owners details with their address and phone number we had the car 3 weeks and suspension went we rang them and they said it wasn’t covered u see the warranty so we took to another garage which cost £350 to get fixed then another few weeks down the line it breaks down and we’re stranded rang them again this time we got abuse off Euna we emailed them no reply so we had to take to another garage all the fuel injectors needed replaced all the oil and filters also the cam belt all this should have been done before we bought the car as it’s states in their own website that a FULL service would be carried out the car cost £4000 we’ve already spent £3000 not even had it 6 months please go somewhere else and avoid these people they are taking your hard earn money for a bucket of crap

long story short, Galloway Motors sold me a dodgy car, full of repairs and dangerous faults. Nothing but appalling attitude from owners, Euna likes to spam customer’s phones to argue after they leave a bad review, very bizarre and stressful experience, I currently have my death trap car sat in my driveway waiting on about 4 fixtures to it, thanks Galloway Motors! They try to sell dodgy cars. I went to buy a car, put a deposit down, they said that they were going on holiday (surprise, surprise). I had time to think things over and changed my mind. I could have let them know within 24 hours, but they were on holiday. When they returned I told Una that I changed my mind, that is when she got nasty and refused to give me my money back. There is nothing in writing anywhere to say that the money was non refundable, of course she insists that she told me, but did not. I even had someone with me at the time to tell her she did not say it, she got rude, then tried to accuse me of being rude. She tried to say that the car was ready to go, that is why I won’t get my money back, but it FAILED THE MOT, so how could it possibly be ready? STAY AWAY FROM GALLOWAY MOTORS!!
