Bought a Golf from these crooks and the windscreen was cracked. No bother as they were going to get it replaced professionally. Picked up the car. Drove it to work and parked it up for 8 hours. It was raining and got in my car to find it full of rain. The windscreen had not been replaced properly. Windscreen had to be replaced as they would not do it and basically if I had crashed I would have died. Waterpump went and also electrocal faults so had to get a rewire done by VW. Hilarious really. How are these people still going.

After travelling 120 miles, the vehicle we had put £200 holding deposit on was not pristine as described,no service book, only i key & bonnet & front wings crazing cracks coming through paintwork! When requesting our deposit to be returned,Will the salesperson said he was not allowed to refund our money, although he was the one who took it in the first place! apparently no body could be trusted.Clearly not Will! He then said his boss was the person to issue refunds but had gone home earlier that morning because he was having a bad day!.boo hoo! Over the next few weeks being transferred from one person to another via Racecourse garage i was told Will is the one who can refund my deposit. I think anyone can guess the outcome of me getting my deposit back. Looking back in hindsight perhaps i should have checked the reviews but myself being an honest person i did not think for one minute i would be dealing with a devious bunch of crooks.

Clive/Clint from Germania Car Sales was the typical sleazy, second-hand car salesman. Was duped into buying 'cover' through him which was not honoured. Death trap.

As part of the sale it was agreed the cambelt and waterpump would be replaced and I was charged for the parts. One year and less than 20,000 miles later i break down - cambelt failure. Turns out the waterpump has been leaking for months and also needs replacing. I contact Richard who owns Germania and the Racecourse Garage absolutely no interest in fixing my car let alone providing compensation towards the £500 repair bill. They would not even pay for the parts they charged me for!! Won’t be long before he is on Rip Off Britain and Watchdog looking at other peoples experiences here..

I was promised a new MOT by Germania Car Sales as part of the sale but when I travelled miles to collect the car no new MOT had been completed! Also you have to point out all issues with the car to them they will try and get away with everything.

Age Old Story, Promised The World To Clinch The Sale, Then Go Back On It Afterwards. Exceptionally Poor Customer Service, Went Back On Services/Goods That Were Offered As Compensation. Germania Is Now Owned By Race Course Garage Chepstow, So I’d Avoid Both.

It all started after the first week when I purchased my car. Purchased around the 20th of Aug 2016. It's a funny story because I was initially going to purchase this car from a dealership in Birmingham but it was Germania that won the bid at the auction so I traced the car to them. I contacted Germania in order to visit and have a look, test drive etc. Clive, (Which I believe is the owner of the garage) was quite polite and helpful in all honesty to start with (why wouldn't he? making a sale after all) we took the car for a spin etc, I explained where I stood if any issues cropped up due to my previous 2nd hand car failing and I took the previous garage to court and won the case, I was also traveling from the northern part of the West Midlands down to south Wales. He said he would cover any mechanical failures etc but no wear and tear. Okay fair enough up to here. He provided me with a 6 month 'GOLD' cover with Auto Protect (Customer protect) also, which in fact is the complaint to follow. I won't lie, I love my car as it is the one that I specifically wanted and chased but little niggles and issues really do take away from the experience. The day I purchased the car I noticed and made it clear to Clive that there is only 1 key here and it was missing, car should come with 3 keys total and the coded password for emergency spares. Firstly he said to me that the car was only delivered this week (which was true as I had traced it) and these thinks take time to arrive. I thought I'd give him the benefit of the doubt and go ahead. 2 Weeks later I phoned him up to remind him. This is when the blatant fob-off's and non-existent after sales support started. Called him 4 weeks after that and he answered then essentially just put the phone down on me. So to finalise: I purchased the car that I was after due to my own pro-activity, the minute I handed over the full amount (Bank loan) Clive / Germania wanted nothing else to do with me or offered me any support or assistance. When will people understand how important after sales support is? 6 months down the line now, the fuel pump (engine side) has failed and the re-circulation flap control motor is faulty. I am dealing with this with Auto protect who are of course being difficult to pay out... All in all, unfortunately I would not recommend this garage due to the issues and gripes above.

I found the owner of Germania to be extremely helpful and polite during the process of me purchasing my new car. I always think it's polite to telephone the business first or call by and then test drive. That way, you are in a good position to know if you would like to move forward with negotiations. Clive couldn't have been more helpful and I collected my car on time. The whole process was seamless and I adore my new car. Thank you Germania:)

Received a very rude and unprofessional response to my offer from their representative CLIVE GARNETT who decided to throw his toys out of the pram over a low first offer. The offer was based on similar spec cars, mileage, condition etc that I had found elsewhere as theirs seemed significantly overpriced in comparison, However as they were local I thought Id make the offer. Would not recommend based on the unprofessional customer service I received.
