⭐ 1 star – Extremely disappointing experience I purchased a 2018 Discovery Sport from this dealership after being reassured by the owner, Geraint, that any problems would be dealt with and that I would not have to worry if anything went wrong. Unfortunately, the reality was very different. Within a week, the engine management light came on. Around the same time, I reported a worrying noise from the rear of the vehicle. Despite repeatedly contacting the dealership over the following months, the noise was initially dismissed and I was told, “They all drive like this.” The noise continued to get worse. I was eventually told the problem was a faulty rear differential, but I was faced with further delays and excuses about why the car could not be repaired. I had also paid for a 12-month warranty when I purchased the vehicle. After becoming extremely frustrated, I contacted Citizens Advice for help. I eventually decided to take the car elsewhere. A reputable dealership diagnosed and repaired the vehicle in approximately two weeks, and I now have a two-year warranty. The most disappointing part is that it took approximately eight months from first reporting the problem to this dealership to finally have the car properly repaired elsewhere. I completely understand that used cars can develop faults. What I cannot accept is the way this issue was handled, the repeated delays, and the difference between the assurances given when I bought the car and the service I received afterwards. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this dealership. I strongly advise anyone considering buying from them to do their research and read the reviews carefully before committing to a purchase.

Recently bought a nearly new Toyota Yaris with delivery mileage. I had a great saving in comparison to a brand new one. The sales guys were fantastic very friendly and easy going. Will be coming back for servicing in the future. Great place highly recommended.

What ever you do, DON'T leave Gerry Hill Car Sales without full documentation and service records, any promises to send them on to you will not be kept if my experience is anything to go by. I was promised a fully stamped dealership service book, and it never arrived, which is not surprising, as the former owner informed me some months later that he had done all the maintenance and serving himself. This is what gives used car sales sites a bad name.
