Greenfield Autos are more than the 5 stars allowed. James is a pit of knowledge and when we met conducted a zero pressure sale. The truth to any good dealer is how they resolve issues and since taking ownership there were a few minor issues which James has dealt with and his communication is second to none. I genuinely cannot recommend Greenfield Auto's enough!! If your looking for a used car give them a call you will not be disappointed!!

1st class service, thrilled to bits again. Second car I’ve purchased from them and really pleased again
After purchasing a vehicle from these people things began to go wrong. An intermittent starting issue ,12v socket not working and MOT irregularities. The latter being that brake issues were noted as advisories. These advisories were removed without any rectification work carried out. Unscrupulous behaviour to make the vehicle more saleable. They did return my money. Your better off looking elsewhere for a vehicle and avoiding these chancers. The sad thing is they have no scruples and a mantra of profit at all costs .

James Baldwin from Greenfield Autos Ltd in response to Steer clear
Dear Dave. We are disappointed but not overly surprised you have decided to write such a review. In the interest of context and fairness, I am writing in response to the comments you make. The 11 year used car you purchased from us was sold in good working order with a new mot and service. After a few days you informed us of an issue turning the key in the ignition barrel. After consultation with a garage we suggested a couple of options, one of which included supplying and fitting a new one to remedy the issue. However, it quickly became apparent to us that no matter what we suggested you were never going to be happy. Due to your aggressive nature and unsubstantiated claims made to us over the phone, we decided it was best for both parties that you returned the car. We don't believe this reflects poor customer service, in fact quite the opposite. If we had a mantra of 'profit at costs' why would we offer to not only repair the issue but take the car back when we didn't have to. Surely this is good customer service? We are proud of the 1000's of happy customers we have sold cars to, evidenced by over 120 5 star reviews on Autotrader, as well as being very highly rated on Google. In response to your comments about the so called 'MOT irregularities', we made clear that the work had been carried out at an independent MOT garage and we explained the work on the brakes and also provided you with a bill for over £260 detailing the other works. I really don't understand why you still feel something underhand had occurred. As a business we do everything we can to ensure a car is sold without fault or underlying issues. If something subsequently arises then we quite happily deal with it. However, we were never going to satisfy you so sometimes its best to move on. When you returned the car there was no evidence of any key issue and we demonstrated that to you in person. However, we still refunded your money even though we didn't need to, and yet you still felt the need to write a negative review making defamatory comments. This is regrettable to us but not overly surprising given your reactions to any help or solutions we tried to offer. As it turns out, neither ourselves or a mechanical garage have ever been able to replicate the key issue that you claimed was such a problem. Regards, James and Rob Greenfield Autos
Part exchanged my old car with Greenfield Autos. Service we received: exceptional. Aftercare service: exceptional. Very happy with how they have gone out of their way to help with everything including finance. Would definitely recommend these guys if you looking for honest and a caring attitude with the willingness to go above and beyond. Thank you rob and James.

I bought an Audi A4 from Greenfield Autos and after 800 miles the engine seized up due to a faulty oil pump . The final bill came in at £4,200 . Before i had it repaired i asked James to either give me my money back or get the car repaired and he refused . The car cost me £6,500 and i had only had it for 3 months ....

Hi please provide a review on the Autotrader page for Greenfield Autos, as they are more reviewed as the garage needs to be held accountable for selling faulty vehicles.
Greenfield Autos from Greenfield Autos Ltd in response to Steer clear
Dear Mr Draper, Thankyou for the taking the time to leave a review of our business. We feel it important to add some context to your comments and reply accordingly. You purchased a 10 year old used Audi A4 with more than 117,000 miles back in 2015. Before sale we spent over £1000 in mechanical work to ensure the car was in good shape and mechancially sound. This work included a service, mot, pre-delivery inspection, new clutch and new cambelt and waterpump. The car was fit for purpose and sold to you in good faith.. The problem with the oil pump happened nearly 4 months after purchase. Oil pump failures aren't that uncommon on this type of car, particularly given the cars age and mileage. Unfortunately your 3 month warranty given with the car had expired by this point. Buying old cars with high mileages carries undoubted higher risk of wear and tear related faults, however this doesn't mean we are accountable for such faults if they weren't present at the time we sold the car. Given you had driven the car for nearly 4 months with no issues is pretty conclusion that the car was sound when we sold it to you. However, as a gesture of goodwill we offered you a contribution of £500 towards the repair which was estimated as approx £1500, not the '£4500' you claim in your review. However, you chose to refuse this gesture and any attempts at mediation. James and Rob.

I was seriously considering purchasing the lovely looking Audi A4 estate they have currently for sale in their ads dated 3/4/2020. Here is the link, https://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/202003188572376?year-from=2007&advertising-location=at_cars&model=A4%20AVANT&maximum-mileage=80000&year-to=2015&price-to=11000&sort=distance&aggregatedTrim=TDI&radius=1500&onesearchad=New&onesearchad=Nearly%20New&onesearchad=Used&make=AUDI&fuel-type=Diesel&colour=Black&colour=Grey&postcode=nn95yx&transmission=Manual&page=2. However i do my research first and taking into account the odd unhappy customer which you will find anywhere, the overall experience of customer reviews is not favourable there are just too many unfavourable reviews and so i will be taking my custom and money elsewhere, thank you to those who have left reviews as no doubt you may have saved me time and money. Message to Redhill Motors, start looking after your customers !
I would strongly advise to stay away from Greenfield Autos and avoid at all costs, as they sold me a faulty car which I brought in May 2017 as I travel far for work and due to a disability, I required an automatic. The car was identified with a major fault within 2 weeks of purchase and fault was apparent prior to purchase and the garage was notified both Rob And James, I asked for the car to be repaired or returned at which they refused on numerous occasions, since I have sent multiple emails and with supporting documents regarding the fault and repair costs and the garage has been most unhelpful in resolving this matter, this has been ongoing for a good part of a year with the garage not willing or accepting to help in any way they have provided misinformation multiple times to myself and other remediation parties involved. This has caused myself added stress both mentally as well as physically regarding my health. This garage has done nothing to uphold any of there responsibilities or obligations. Please save yourself a lot of stress and stay away. I can provide proof of emails ad any documentation required to support this statement. The car was advertised for sale and in correspondence exchanged between the garage and myself they claim to have advertised it for spares or repairs to which i still have a copy of the original advert which i have attached so numerously false information was provided by the garage.
james baldwin from Greenfield Autos Ltd in response to Stay Clear
Dear Jatinder, As expressed in previous emails with you, we are sorry you have had a problem with your car, however feel it important to add some context surrounding your feedback. The 11 year old car in question was taken in part exchange and had 135,000 miles. You viewed and test drove the car and were happy with its condition. It was made very clear to you that the car had NOT been mechanically checked. This is not our normal practice but high mileage 'part exchange' cars are the exception. As a result we made it clear that we were unable to provide a warranty on the car due to its mileage and so it was being sold as seen and labelled 'spares or repair'. The price reflected this which you agreed was 'cheap'. At point of sale we were open and honest about the terms that the car was sold under both verbally and in writing. You agreed to this and signed an invoice accordingly. I am sorry that a problem developed with the car after sale and that you now refuse to accept those terms despite our efforts to reason with you. Regards, James and Rob
I have had no issues at all with my Golf from Greenfield Autos. I purchased it back in September and it's still running perfectly. The car is really good value for money and up to now I have had no issues with it at all. I would definitely recommend this dealership to anyone.

I purchased a Vauxhall Astra from here back in July and I am very happy with everything. The car was clean and in good condition and up to now it's running fine. The staff at the dealership have been very helpful and friendly and I would highly recommend them to anyone.
